Counting down the days til no phones …. today was uneventful (except for newbie commenting to me that Miss Hoo-TAY was rude on the phones (see? it’s not just me!!) and that he planned to be nicer to our idiots customers.

And … CEOFH is at it again!! This time he is on the warpath about a guy who had a 97 cent (yes … CENT) discrepancy in his statement and made no less then 5 calls to us. Same dude who badgered the hell out of us for 11 CENTS the month before and it took 3 people 2 days doing nothing but looking for his freaking 11 cents to get it straight. Dude writes CEOFH about what horrendous customer support we have that we cannot find his 97 cents. Damn! I don’t have ANY money but I sure as hell ain’t worried about a grand total of 1.06 in my statements! Someone (well, two someoneS) need to get a life!!

And now for some news and commentary:

From Joe Millionaire (which I did NOT watch, btw):

JM sez “There’s been something else I’d like to say to you that’s been really weighing on my nerves,” he added. “I don’t have $50 million. I don’t have $50,000. I’m sorry I lied to you, but I wanted to find someone who loved me for who I am, not for what I may or may not have.”

Her bright smile gone, Zora rolled her eyes, looked stricken and said nothing.

Would she show up in the ballroom later to accept his proposal?

You bet, and wearing an elegant silk gown. There, after acknowledging regrets over Marriott’s grand deception, she told him, “the good news is, I really was turned off by the fact that you inherited all that money.”

MY ASS, you were, little girl. What a bunch of shit. Seriously. Do you think ANYone was fooled by that?? Riiiiight. Yep. Got some land to sell you when the tide goes out. (Right here in VA, even!)

and speaking of which, what the HELL is going on?

No comment from me is necessary (which usually doesn’t stop me as well you know!)

Snow Rage: Snowplow Operator Beaten

Updated: Thursday, Feb. 20, 2003 – 11:59 AM EST.

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (AP) – A few angry motorists coping with snow in northern Virginia have taken out their frustration on state workers trying to clear the roads.
In one case, a snowplow operator was pulled from his truck and beaten and in another, a supervisor was hit in the head with a chunk of ice.

“Regardless of the frustration someone has, there is no excuse for assaulting people, verbally or physically, who are trying to get the roads clear,” said Charlie Kilpatrick, a engineer for the Virginia Department of Transportation in the Fredericksburg area.

Two of his employees were attacked in separate incidents Tuesday night.

In Stafford County, a snowplow operator was pulled from his VDOT truck and beaten by two motorists. The VDOT employee was plowing Brooke Road when he noticed the headlights of a car behind him flashing, said Stafford Sheriff Charles Jett.

The man got out of his truck, thinking someone behind him needed help. But the two men in the car behind him accused the plow driver of running them off the road, Jett said.

When the VDOT employee got back in his truck and tried to leave, one of the other men smashed the truck’s driver’s side window, opened the door and pulled him out. Both men beat the plow driver before leaving the scene in a small black car.
