According to sources Saddam’s sons are confirmed dead.
“MOSUL, Iraq (AP) – Saddam Hussein’s sons Odai and Qusai were killed in a six-hour firefight Tuesday when U.S. forces, acting on a tip from an Iraqi informant, surrounded and then stormed a palatial villa in this northern Iraqi town, a senior American general said.
Four coalition soldiers were wounded and two other Iraqis were killed in the raid, but Saddam was not among them. The house belonged to one of Saddam’s cousins, a key tribal leader in the region.
“We are certain that Odai and Qusai were killed today,” said Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez at a news conference in Baghdad. “The bodies were in such a condition where you could identify them.”
The deaths of the sons could have a major impact on the Iraqi resistance, which has been mounting about a dozen attacks a day against U.S. occupation troops. The guerrillas are thought to be former military officers and Baath Party leaders loyal to Saddam and his family – especially the sons, who played primary roles in the military and feared security services.”
Having read just a bit about them, I can say without reservation that this is a good thing all the way around. They seemed to be just total sociopaths (especially Uday) and really brought a lot of pain and suffering to many people. I say “Good Riddance” and may your path to Hell be swift, gentlemen.
Today is a better day than yesterday. Again, a good thing. I took some L-Tyrosine this am (in lieu of L-Carnitine that was downstairs) and that may have been what I needed. At any rate, I feel better. I am enjoying my last two weeks in an office with a door and the privacy it affords when I am feeling growly.
I found this blog the other day and they had a feature that cracked me up. Each day there was a meme but it wasn’t one that was all syrupy and stuff.
WTF Tuesdays – people or things that make you question, “What the Fuck?!”
Fake Saturday Wednesdays – a frivolous day, like a fake Saturday in the middle of the week.
Third person Thursdays – write in third person.
So, according to that, this is WTF Tuesday!
Welcome!
I happened upon the HBO show “Real Sex” last night and saw this: a profile of an “adult entertainer” whose best characteristic is an incredibly long tongue. And all I can saw is EWWW! and EWWW. But seriously, EWWW, y’all. That tongue scared me! Now, I’m not a guy thus I cannot begin to fathom the pleasures said tongue would/could/should bring. However, from an aesthetic POV, it was scary. Her name was Menage (as in a trois) and she seemed very comfortable with her body and her self and that I did admire. Still and all, I was just a bit icked out by that segment. They also featured some underwater erotica (meh!), some chicks living in a voyeurhouse (meh x2) and Tongue-woman. Yeah, so worth my staying up.
Oh yeah, and still under WTF/Tuesday: how is it that my own husband does not know my bra size?? I asked him and he said 32? I told this to Snappa and he said “32? What are you, 8 years old?” My sentiments exactly! (sigh) Unless I was waving my bra on a flyers hockey stick in front of him, he is so not inclined to know these things.
32? Damn. (shakes head in puzzlement)
I liked Stormin’ Norman’s response after 911, when he was asked whether, in the Christian spirit, there could possibly be room for forgiveness for the likes of Osama Bin Laden: ‘Granting forgiveness is up to God. It’s our job to arrange the meeting.’
Lisa, what’s going on? Are you taking an interest in politics now? I my presence rubbing off on you?
