Monday is Magic 8 Ball day!

Frida, the meme queen, came up with her own nifty weekly thingy that I loved. I haven’t had a chance to play yet so I decided to get my (birthday) week started off right and JUST DO IT!

I am hoping we can set up a blog just for the Magic 8 Ball questions soon.

Okay, here are the M8B answers and below, my questions (all of them pertaining to the news that John Allen Muhammed will act as his own defense lawyer in the DC Sniper Shooting trial.

To wit: In a twist on the first day of his murder trial, a judge ruled Monday that sniper suspect John Allen Muhammad could defend himself against charges that he gunned down a Maryland man a year ago. In a rambling opening statement, Muhammad quoted Jesus and spoke at length about ?the truth.?

1. Cannot predict now

I’m pretty sure this guy is just a few fries short of a happy meal and this decision cemented that. What do you think, M8B?

2. Very doubtful

Given that he doesn’t have a law degree or really any kind of experience in a courtroom other than being the accused, will he be able to argue his case successfully?

3. As I see it yes

Okay then, do you think the prosecution is laughing their asses off at this turn of events and celebrating by drinking six packs of corona behind the federal building?

4. It is certain

By acting as his own counsel, has he completely fucked his chances for any sort of freedom? (Which, btw, is just fine with me)

5. Signs point to yes

Will he go down in history as one of the biggest dumbasses that ever lived for this stunt? Will we all cheer as we see him imprisoned for the rest of his life?

Yeah, I thought so.

In other news:

  • I enjoyed the Mind/Body/Spirit expo on Sunday and could have blown quite a wad of cashola there if I didn’t take my butt out of there quickly! Wayne Dyer was excellent, as expected. His talk was supposed to be from 3-5pm but it looked like it was going to run late (til at least 5:30). I had to depart right at 5 so we could attend Justin’s hockey game in East Jesus, DE. It was with great reluctance that I left the convention center while WD was still talking. However, I do know that whatever lesson the Universe brought me there to hear was already presented and when I am to learn from him again, I will. (How damn woo-woo of me, I know).
  • Justin’s team got their asses beat like big dogs (thought I was watching a Caps game for a second!) but it was neat to watch the kids play. There’s a chick that plays on his team too. The only girl on either team. (Apparently, she is also my nephew’s woman as well but he won’t tell you that). How cool is it that a chick is out there playing with the guys?? I loved it. And she was definitely one of the better players on the team too. You go, girl! :)
