A Wintry Mix

December 3, 2003 Written by site admin

That’s what they are predicting for our region over the next few days. Gad. I wish it would snow like a big dog and I could stay home from the 7th circle of hell (usually just called “work”). It’s getting wicked hellish there and don’t you wish you had a dime for every time I’ve said that? Yeah, well, me too, yanno?

It. is. officially. time. to. leave.

No point in busting my ass there every day when some do-nothing fuckwad blames his mistakes on you and you have to go up against a Wall to defend your work. Sucks. Surely there are other places for me to earn a living.

Hear that, Universe? It’s officially time to leave. Now, find me a place that lets me be happy at work, be productive and still have time to talk on IM with my peeps. That’s not too much to ask, is it?

What do childless dolts do with their evenings? Well, this childless dolt just spent the last half hour surfing the tv guide on my TIVO and picking out programs to record. Seriously, I can feel you sitting there thinking “Man! I wish I had her fast paced life!” And you thought Paris Hilton was wild, hey?

Anyway, (/sarcasm), I found some cool stuff (a 2 hour lecture by my guru himself (Dr. Wayne Dyer) and some bizarre Real Sex programs that I never stay up to watch. I can get the spiritual and the sexual in all at once. Well, sorta. Kinda like Tantric sex (so I hear). Tivo rules! (And I thought it was a pooty bday present too, didn’t I?? – well, it’s NOT! so Pblffft! (sticks tongue out)).

So yeah. This is all true.

And in other fantastic happenings – Caps win TWO in a ROW!! Wooo Hoooo! And my buddy Robert “Langer” gets named NHL Player of November. It’s all a cake walk from here on in. (/denial) We play NJ tomorrow so unless TPTB decide we need another win, look for a caps loss. NJDs are pretty f’ing good.

Hey! It’s almost Friday. That’s a good thing.

Lyrics for a mood:

Your heart is not open
so I must go
The spell has been broken
I loved you so

You were my lesson I had to learn
I was your fortress you had to burn

There’s nothing left to try
There’s no place left to hide
There’s no greater power
than the power of goodbye

Oh to be 23 again and in love!
Walking in a winter wonderland?

Hey, no big deal. We were in Michigan for the holidays and dealt with snow and cold weather. It may be a whopper, but it’s probably just an annoyance. It’s not the snow, it’s how we deal with the snow that’s the problem.

Ok, as a childed one, here is my evening: Leave work @ 5; pick up kids from SACC; get home 6:15 +/-; start kids on homework; change; make dinner; supervise/badger/threaten homework; serve dinner; throw in a a load of laundry; eat; bathe kids; supervise/badger/threaten to brush teeth; read stories; kisses and hugs (the bestest!); supervise/badger/threaten kids to actually stay in bed; move laundry and add another load; clean up kitchen; fold and put away laundry; argue with Mother; colapse in bed. Wanna trade??? :)

GO CAPS, GO CAPS, GO CAPS!!!!
