I am totally a slack ass when it comes to this here blogging thing, ain’t I? Tsk Tsk on myownself.
Work has been hella busy lately – I don’t know what is going on but I am finding myself back in that hole with waaaay too much to do in one day (goofing around on email aside). I went in for about four hours today which makes, what? the third weekend I’ve gone in to work on my own time? Sad, innit? Oh well. I guess being busy is a good thing. Means more accounts for us and that can only help my bottom line.
Speaking of bottoms, mine is stuck at 10 lbs from where I ultimately wanted to be. Okay, it’s true that I haven’t realllly been doing the low-carb thing well. Umm or at all. It has been by the grace of God that I haven’t gained any weight over the past month or so. I read on an Atkins board that drinking only water for liquids and not adding any artificial sweetner can really kick start your weight loss (I mean, eat like you would normally on atkins – not just drink water and no food). I’m not sure I can sacrifice my morning Dunkin coffee but maybe just for a week? Just to see how it works. That’s the only thing I put Sweet ‘N Low in. Can I do it?? How bad do I want to be 10 lbs less, hmm?
Something that was bugging me but isn’t now courtesy of my good friend “Hockey Kim”: I kept wondering why Robert Lang’s pants always looked like a skirt when he was in his uniform. No one else’s looked like that and it just bugged me to death. Kim told me that the pants have snaps up the inside thighs for, uh, easy bathroom access. He just doesn’t snap his all the way down for some bizarro reason. Thus, the skirt look. WHEW! I could sleep easier now. (Is it a sad commentary on my life that I even pondered this issue?)
Random thought: I am looking at the picture of my grandma’s house that my Cousin ‘O Love gave me for Christmas – it’s propped up right here in the computer room adjacent to my monitor. I want to give her an official shout out for the bestest christmas present ever – I LOVE this picture and it makes me feel all warm inside looking at that house where we all grew up. Grandma and Grandpa may not be there anymore but just looking at that picture reminds me of all the good times we spent there.
We saw “Mystic River” this weekend and it was quite good. And also very intense. The last movie I saw Sean Penn in was “Dead Man Walking” which was also very intense. There’s something about the vibes he puts out there when he does those roles that just squeezes the breath out of me. Go see this movie, if you get a chance.
How come I keep dreaming of my old boss from LMWW in Richmond? Gordo, what’s the deal? Get outta my haid!
I need to go re-arrange the songs on my Ipod.
