Various ruminations

This, my friends, is precisely why America continues to be a laughing stock around the world.

An excerpt:
Knoxville native Terri Carlin filed a proposed class action lawsuit in a U.S. District Court on Wednesday, charging the accused with causing her and “millions of others” to “suffer outrage, anger, embarrassment and serious injury.” The suit reportedly seeks billions of dollars in compensatory and punitive damages.

And to that I have to say this: OH, COME THE FUCK ON! That is the most ridiculous, inane, wasteful thing I have seen recently. There are a million other issues that continue to plague us and this woman feels it’s necessary to file this lawsuit? ::boggle::

I guess I should just shut up about it but it really bugs me right down to my root chakra! :) And I still don’t get what the big damn deal is. I just don’t.

WHEW! Okay, now that that is off my chest, onward.

Watched the Nephew of Love (aka: Justin) play hockey today. Their team is becoming more cohesive and even though they lost, they played better. They are all very supportive of the goalie when one gets by him; they come over and pat him on the helmet or something to let him know it was a good try. I think that is really very sweet. I’ve never experienced being on a sports team in my life so I have no concept of what that is like which is why I’m touched by these little things that probably anyone who has ever played takes for granted.

I sat through 40 minutes of my Tivo’d “Average Joe in Hawaii” only to see that my husband had CHANGED THE CHANNEL in the middle of it to watch “Law and Order”!!! I have told him about 10,0000000000 times to be careful of doing that and I guess he thought he was but I was not a happy camper. I know who got the boot (thanks TWOP) but I still wanted to see with my own four eyes DavidDaskal!! get voted off. Oh well. C’est la vie, I suppose. I try to only Tivo things when I know he probably won’t be watching the television (a rare moment, I am sad to say) but it just bugs me when stuff like that happens. (Does a quick “forgiveness meditation” just to cancel out all that negativity)

Anyone watching “The L Word” on Showtime? Interesting. Very interesting. I don’t think this is any more indicative of the average lesbian’s lifestyle than “Queer as Folk” was for gay men but it is interesting to watch.

And why did I start watching “American Idol” Must. Stop. Doing. That.
