Hey! Lots of stuff going on!
First. Caps U is in session!
Caps University is a unique educational experience that allows fans to learn about the game of hockey from Capitals insiders. This three-night seminar, including two classroom sessions and a Caps game, provides fans from beginners to experts with an in-depth, inside look at the game of hockey.
Washington Capitals TV play-by-play announcer Joe Beninati will provide the tutelage on topics ranging from rules and regulations to stats and positions. The seminars will be highlighted by a tour of the Capitals? dressing room and special guest appearances from Caps insiders.
Yeah, Goddaughter of Lurve and I will be quite the hockey experts! From the comments I read on the Caps message boards, it is really alot of fun and very educational too.
On Tuesday, GOL , friend of hers, COL (Cousin ‘O Love aka Mary) and I will attend the game against Ottawa. Sitting back up in the rafters this time and that will be an interesting contrast to the excellent (100 level behind Olie) seats we have now. I liked the 400 level when I was first learning about hockey because you could see the game at the “big picture” level that way. But admittedly, it is big fun to sit down in the “lower bowl” and feel the energy of the game itself.
So, M and Wed is Caps U. Tuesday is Caps vs. Ottawa. Thursday was Caps vs NJ Devils (patoooooey) but H is taking a work buddy who’s a Devs fan instead since that would be hockey overload even for this self described hockey whore.
I’m excited about the game on the 25th when the Carolina Hurricanes come to town. Smackdown time for sure! More on this later.
Hey – if you have any spare good thoughts, can you send them out to BBoogie? His grandma unexpectedly passed away over the weekend and I think he can use some positive energy sent his way. (Sends the biggest hug she has to him through the airwaves)
Ummm … I was gonna write something else but I forgot what it was. How lame is that? Btw, MY Godmommy of Cool, Aunt Connie, has apparently made her way to these pages and I think reads them occasionally so a big shout out to the coolest of the cool Godmommies! :)
Have you noticed I don’t really write much of anything important on here? Some people really know how to blog and it’s not that I don’t but I am better at spurt writing than long head dumps. Perhaps I should try that though.
