Whoa!

What is up with my blog?? Where did all my really exciting posts go? Did the “Boring Post” monster eat them? I think this is a major hint from the Universe to write again. And, as always, I heed the call of the Uni.

So, what’s a happening?

  • Goddaughter of Lurve got a date to the prom!!

    Says she: So hey, here’s a sentence (or two) I never thought I’d get to write: I… have a date for prom! And! I totally didn’t have to bribe anyone! Yess that’s right. My friend Joey asked me this morning. This is good; we will have fun!

    This? Is exciting news! Now the dress hunt is officially ON! Yey for my babe-a-roo! (Although this shot down Duty’s high hopes for a Justin/Lauren pairing for that event.)

  • Speaking of Justin, he’s playing in a hockey tournament in VA Beach this weekend. Uncle Duty is (of course) right there watching him. He loves that boy to pieces. (Okay, I admit it, I do too) Here’s hoping J’s team wins at least one game. (And that Duty finds a Dunkin Donuts within a 15 mile radius of his hotel room!)
  • Well, I mentioned my lust for this car to Duty recently and ‘lo and behold, he’s out there scoping out prices and deals on that car and others like it. What a guy, hey? I don’t call him DUTY for nuthin, you know! It looks soooo hot and would be a perfect “mid-life crisis mobile” but gas mileage is for crap. Do I care? Well, yes (and no but uh, mostly yes). We are also looking at others of that ilk (Mazda RX8, Honda S2000 and Chrysler Crossfire) but I don’t know. I might just end up keeping my (paid for ) ’97 Taurus a bit longer and get my mid-life crisis ya-ya’s out another way.
  • Must. get. back. to. the. gym. SOON! Man, I am such a slack ass in that department and my pants are showing it. I can not and WILL not gain weight back even if that means going to the gym (GASP!!).
  • Going to B’s baby shower today. I loves me some baby clothes shopping. I have to always exercise restraint when I do that or else I would buy the store out in clothes that will fit the baby for all of 3 minutes. But I bought a cute little sweatsuit with kitties on it (of course!), a blanket that says “I love my daddy” on it (because Daddies often don’t get the lurve they should), a stuffed animal and some other little baby “tschokes”. And of course, a present for the mama because they need stuff too!
  • The Scrapbook ‘O Lurve project is going splendidly. I went over Sharon’s last night and she helped me (ie: did most of the actual work) put several pages together. It’s going to be simply marvy, I tell you! I have found a new hobby *AND* a way to gather all the little pieces of my exciting life together somehow. Better that than shoved in boxes somewhere, hey?

    Okay, believe it or not, I am off to the gym! Happy Saturday.

      Congrats to Lauren, have fun at the Prom…wish I had gone to mine :(

      Your blog is configured to show only posts for the last 7 days on your main index. Increasing the setting or posting more frequently should fix the problem.

      Mine is set for 10 days. It still happens to me occasionally, like when I am on vacation.
