Dear Snarkykiddies:
Here’s the goings-on in this chick’s life:
1. For those that don’t know yet, the infamous and much adored Goddaugher of Lurve has been diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma – a very rare form of bone cancer that strikes adolescents. As you can imagine, things are pretty topsy-turvey around her house and I am doing all I can to help. She is a true Spiritual Warrior and is handling things the best she can in this situation. She starts chemo on May 10 but will be able to attend her prom (Friday May 7) and a graduation party her parents are giving on May 8th.
So, please send all the healing you can through the waves to her – she will need some loving vibes to envelope her as she undertakes this challenge. I will update as I can on here but I don’t want to infringe on her privacy so it may be sporadic. For what she has to say on it, visit her blog, LUSTIG!
(And if you feel like leaving a cool comment or two, I think she would dig that, especially if your name is Alexander Semin!)
2. Wouldn’t you know my mom has to get in on the hospital fun? She went to see the doctor today and he promptly admitted her to GBMC for extremely high blood pressure and a couple other things. Go Mom! So, Duty and I will be trekking to Baltimore tomorrow to see what’s going on.
Props be to Dani, Cousin ‘O Cool, for breaking the news to me in a way that only she and I could do. You have to understand the peculiar sense of humor we share growing up with the mothers we did to fully grasp the meaning of it.
So, I’ve been a busy girlygirl this week between work, doc visits, aura class, group and now driving north to visit the mother. Can I have a small nervous breakdown? Just to sort of get it out of the way? Thanks ever so much.
Confidential to Goddaughter of Love : Italy 2005, baby – we are so there! Ciao Bella!
Confidential to Cousin ‘O Lurve: Keep working that throat chakra and please stop using Linux so I can put IM on your computer.
Confidential to Cousin ‘O Cool: “Bummer. Oh look, a cloud!” (heheh)
Confidential to Duty: Thanks for knowing when to be flexible and change plans, sweetie.
Confidential to Kim & Sharon: I love you both times ten. I promise you won’t have to hold a barf bucket for me but I may be forced to show you my handwriting if you ask nicely. (tee hee)
BTW, did you know the end of DC happens tomorrow? Just thought I would give you a heads up.
Love and mega kisses,
Snarky Corinthian
