Well, so far so good re: job. Nothing too exciting yet (which is probably good) and am learning new stuff at a reasonable pace. Nothing else of note to tell there. I hear, though, that things at former place of employ are in a state of upheaval. Tee hee hee, er, I meant, darn. That’s too bad.
Don’t even ask about my J4 holiday. Trust me. Props to Archangel Michael for getting me through certain events. I have a feeling he and I are going to be good friends going forward as I doubt this is the last time I will have to call upon him for grace.
And speaking of grace, here’s the latest photo of the GOL (aka Madame Turbana), the official Godfaddah ‘O Lurve and yours truly. Ain’t we cute? She’s recently completed her fourth round of chemo and the 2nd (almost) without any barfing! YEY!!!
I just finshed reading “Why Girls are Weird” and liked it pretty much. The author, Pamela Ribon has a blog that is quite good and the book had me cracking up in parts (especially the section on the “Tiny Wooden Hand” (don’t ask me to ‘splain, Lucy). I read most of it while Duty piloted our boat upon the Chesapeake Bay this weekend and was apparently too engrossed in it to bother with sunscreen. YEEEOWWW! Oh well, I had fun.
Anyway, I’ve decided to join in the the cult that wallows at the altar of “The Amazing Race”. Yes. Another reality show for me to become enslaved to (with?). (<--- Egads, that sentence sucks!) So since I've heard it's the best of the reality shows out there, why not, eh? What? I am so NOT wasting brain cells! I am offended that you even think that! Feh on you! Oh, and I'm happy to see Kerry pick Edwards for VP. I honestly could vote on the “Anyone but Bush” ticket this year but fortunately, I’m okay with those two. I’m still doing LOTS of reading on the “Fahrenheit 9/11” movie and all the debates back and forth. How can I possibly be woo-woo AND political at the same time, I ask you??
