Time for a new layout!

Props, kudos and 11 hugs go to the GOL for the new design! She’s still tweaking it a bit for me but I think this is it for the most part. Snark-o-riffic, eh?

Work is improving slowly but surely. I get my 30 day review on Friday. Can you believe I’ve been there a month already? I do miss the IMs though. Oh well. Can’t have it all. Can you?? :)

I’ve been listening to the Carolyn Myss CD of the seminar I went to last month and the one thing that keeps poking at me is her question “Where are you other than here” – ie: where are you putting your energy if not in the present moment. One thing I’ve discovered – when I listen to Wayne Dyer, I am filled with a nice peacefulness that makes me want to do kind things for people. When I listen to Carolyn Myss, however, I am inclined to do some heavy thinking about stuff. She is very no-nonsense and her approach to energy work is that way as well. So, rather than spur me into action (as WD does), she gets the wheels in my head moving in interesting ways. Both of those people have contributed immeasurably toward who I am today. All things considered, I rather like that person.

Okay, continuing the journal entries, here’s one from July 3, 1988 (yes, that’s the journal I currently have out. Next time I will pick something from the early 80′s. Oh they were fun years! (NOT)

“The dream was placed at Grandma’s and it was my going away party even though I was just going to Ohio. TB was there and we were holding hands and I was sitting on his lap. All I kept thinking was “I can’t believe I’m doing all this in public”. Mom came up to me and said “Rumor has it that you and TB are fooling around” and I replied “that’s ridiculous”. Then MB came in with S and I kept saying to her “MB, MB I’m sorry I haven’t called in a million years but I’ve been busy” and all she said was “excuses, excuses” and gave me the cold shoulder. I couldn’t figure out why she was being so mean to me (!!!) and then S had some kind of athletic disease that prevented him from playing lacrosse. Finally, it was 4:30 and I woke mom up to go.

Then I was at some resort inside a restaurant watching the waves break over the shore. Someone mentioned that the waves were rough and as they said it a HUGE tidal wave went straight up into the air and came crashing down on everyone else outside. I was unhurt but I kept thinking about Mom’s hair getting all messed up….”

Goodness have you been at the new job 30 days already? We got to reconnect at a Starbucks soon!

  2. Each author brings something unique to the mental table for us to contemplate…but I do like being in “action” more-so than in “contemplation” :o). Best wishes on your journey Lisa.
