Just plain Grrrr.
The Empath Intensive this weekend with Rose Rosetree went pretty well. It was long (I guess that’s the “intensive” part, eh?). The second day was better in terms of content than the first. For those who had taken her Aura Reading Class as well as the Empath Class (aka: me) it was mostly a review. Considering the amount of money Duty I put out for this, that didn’t sit too well. The second day was a bit more advanced which was good. Overall, I would say I learned a few things, but I think it could have been structured differently (which I will comment on in the evaluation) and it was a bit pricey for the return (IMO).
One of the outcomes of it was a “myth” of sorts that I wrote in 20 minutes which turned out to have lots of deeper meanings (DUH! I guess). If I get a chance, I will throw it up on a separate page (editing to protect the innocent, of course – that’s me, again) for all (three) to read. It spoke to the idea that the time has come for me to put away all the books I’ve been compiling about chakras, intuition, aura reading and GO DO IT. I could read and learn forever … and I probably will continue to do so. But at some point, you need to just throw yourself out there and take a risk that you can do these things.
So, my fledgling aura reader/empath shingle is out for all to see. If you want to help me on my path and let me practice reading your aura, I would love it. I can’t guarantee that I will be accurate but every step helps hone this skill.
And along those lines, I have a new friend! When I went for my interview at the new place of employ, I met the owner and his wife (they interview everyone who applies). I vibed immediately with her – she has the most awesome energy I’ve ever felt. I could NOT explain the feeling but it was almost palpable. Of course, I got hired and have seen her around (she runs the business end of the business, if that makes sense) and she has always been very friendly but I’ve hung back. I couldn’t very well go up to her and say “Well, you have awesome energy. Will you be my friend?” could I? (Could I???) She hadn’t been around for a couple days so I emailed her to see if she was okay and she wrote back some nice thing. Summoning up all my courage, I asked her if she was familiar with energy work and how she had a very strong and lovely energy around her. Not at all to my surprise, she wrote me back that she was totally into all this “woo-woo” stuff! We had lunch together yesterday and just lurve each other! She told me she felt an instant connection to me too. As goofy as it sounds, I think I am there because of her, for some reason. (I don’t mean as far as her making the hiring decision – I mean more on a spiritual level –> so much of this I cannot even put into words because it’s just more of a feeling, you know?)
I put myself out there and was rewarded. What a nice feeling this is. Duty said he could practically hear me dancing around my desk when I told him. She is a really cool “woo-woo sister” and I think you’ll be hearing more about our adventures in coming entries.
My, I have alot to say tonight, don’t I?
Well, you are welcome to practice on me. I’ve never had my aura read. But perhaps you know me too well?
Glad to hear you found a new friend!
Woo-woo sister? :) You never cease to make me smile. Glad you found such a strong connection.
