Lauren had surgery today to remove that mean old right femur bone and seems like everything went well. Duty talked to Mary and she said although surgery lasted over 6 hours (which was expected), Lauren was doing fine and the prosthesis they had made to replace the bone fit perfectly (just about).

So far, so good. Duty and I will go see her tomorrow afternoon to bring love and a tiny wooden hand (inside joke).

I think I am off the hook for Mom duty this weekend so I plan to goof off A LOT!!!
