Addictions du jour:

1. the caramel popcorn that someone gave Duty as a going away present. Jeebus, I don’t even frigging LIKE caramel popcorn and I cannot stop eating it! GAH!

2. DailyKos – I can spend enormous amounts of time here and do, actually. I’ve learned alot about the political process, media whoring (that looks weird but I think it’s right without the E), debate commentary and a whole lot of other stuff. Plus, I’ve made two friends giving away Gmail invites so there.

3. The Daily Show - I could run off with Jon Stewart and be happy the rest of my days. This show is consistently on-the-money with satire in general and political satire in particular. Plus, he’s so cute. Not Eddie Izzard cute, of course (I mean, could he look as good in a short skirt? I doubt it.) but cute in his own snarky way. And that wins this girl’s heart every time.

Uh, more as I think of them. Mostly, it’s the caramel popcorn. That scale is gonna be scary. Feh.

Okay, so plans are in the works for leaving current place of employ (I am at the sorta end of my 3 month probation period so I can leave with impunity) and go to next place of fun. I shall give all details when it’s a bit more finalized. Suffice to say, I know where I will be happy. Outside of being a tad Stepfordian, current place of employ is a nice group of people and they are all treated fairly and well. It’s just not the place for this old gal, yanno? Took me a while to a. understand that, b. accept that and c. be okay with that. But, I am at C so it’s all good.

Finally the basement is habitable and I am making it into a nice little reading/meditation area with candles and stuff. I like sitting on my old couch and spacing out. At least it’s a change from spending time in one of 3 places: computer room, bedroom, living room.
