Usually, when it snows, I am all peeved. Being a grownup is hard in the snow! You’re expected to still get to work, still take care of the kids (who are always home at the first hint of white stuff), still carry on as if nothing impedes your way. It generally sucks, y’all.
However (sound of angels in the heavens saying Ta-DAH!), today is Saturday! I. have. no. where. to. go. YEY!!! I can sit my butt in the room of woo and read, sleep, listen to tunes, eat, drink coffee, watch TIVOd stuff – all without guilt or the feeling that I need to be going to B’more to see the mom or “doing” something.
I am a happy monkey today.
The universe keeps making it LOUD and CLEAR that I must move into my own healing practice pronto because the days at current place of employ keep getting more and more stressful. Hooty, living in DC now for, what? oh 4 years, couldn’t be bothered to try to come into work on Thursday despite the fact that one guy was on vacation (leaving us a person short there), the ONLY chick who handles the advisors had to go to East Jeebus Nebraska for a funeral on short notice, and our manager (who, bless his inept heart) actually takes about 20 calls a day, was in a BoD meeting all day. Sooooo, that left me and G-Dawg to take over 200 calls. Yes. A fun, fun day. Friday was no better despite Madame Hoo-tay coming in.
By 7pm last night, I was DONE. Toast. DONE. So, I truly have earned my two snow days of rest. And dammit, I’m gonna take them.
And! I am also going to spend time looking into other sites about those who do spiritual healing as a practice and see how they do things. Although I am not at all surprised to find this out, I am glad that this whole arena (at least as I know it to be) is very, very ethical. When you read someone’s aura, you do find out a lot about them. Which makes it much more important to do it with their permission (this is a HUGE deal, btw) in accordance with the law of free will. Anyway, I am on the research trail and that is where I am (almost) happiest.
