… care for a bit of a top-up?*
So yesterday it was nice and warm. Pool temps in the mid 80’s. All was quiet on the eastern (shore) front so I decided to get in the water and float around under the sun. Ahhhh, that was lovely. I must say. And this way, I will get a tan on more than just my forearms and feet. I need to look like an island regular instead of some tourist.
I think word has spread in the froggie community that the Snarky house is, shall we say, not terribly hospitable to those of their kind. And perhaps it’s best if they all just went next door to NG’s house where he has a lovely little pond just for fishies and froggies. (I won’t mention that it’s really just a sunken bathtub with water and some green scummy stuff on top because we don’t know that that isn’t Hilton quality to frogs.) We don’t have 4 or 5 suicidal frogs in the pool any more so I am pretty sure word has gotten out. Either that or we’ve kilt all the frogs ’round these here parts and the rest ran away in fright.
Please note that while I dig this “staying at home” thing, it’s not an overly productive way to spend my time. Here I am, what? a month and a half into this new gig and I’m still just a drifty girl, floating from one day to the next. Gotta. Get. A. Routine. Soon. (or else what?)
I’d say almost TGIF but it doesn’t overly matter to me what day it is. (check check – are these meds working?)
Bright spot of the week: HOCKEY is back! Wooooo Hoooo!
Sing it with me! – “Hello out there, we’re on the air – it’s hockey night tonight! The tension grows, the whistle blows, and the puck goes down the ice. The goalie jumps, and the players bump, and the fans all go insane. Someone roars, “Bobby Scores!” At the good old hockey game! Ohhhh! The good old hockey game! It’s the best game you can name! And the best game you can name is the good old hockey game!” Let’s go Caps!!! C-A-P-S!
*obscure Eddie reference. Even GOL won’t get this one
