If you want to get out some of your personal ya-ya’s in a nice, healthy and grounding way, might I recommend a drum circle? New pal Christine (henceforth known as NPC) and I went to a drum circle in Annapolis today and it was most fun! There were about 15-20 people there, all ages and quite diverse. Lots of drums and nifty soundy intruments for everyone and a joyous noise we did make!
WOW! I was very excited to see all the cool comments about last week’s Thursday 13! Y’all made my day. But I cannot keep up the cleverness (can I?). You’ll have to tune in Thursday to find out!
Other than that, nothing exciting to say, alas. This will be a busy week with appointments and whatnot. Mom’s surgery is scheduled for Tuesday the 24th. Please keep her in your prayers, if you are a praying sort. I’d announce to the Universe that I’m pretty much done with cancer but I know they’d only laugh and say “yeah? Think so?” and who knows what would happen. So, I announced (more like ‘stated with love and kindness’) that I’d like things to turn out as well as possible for her and that I would be there, regardless. At least Uni knows I’m willing to be present.
If you want to read more about my woo-woo side, check out my other blog called A Healing Path. And I am also working on a new “professional woo-woo” site to be debuted in a bit along with a newsletter. While I love Bexley Lane, I wanted something a bit different to represent where I am now in my journey. “A work in progress” –> that’s me!
Drums bring out the kid in you.
Prayers for you and your Mom.
