…. is hard work today. I am thinking I specialize in NOT getting it in gear. What’s the opposite of in gear? Snuggles? Tell me. I specialize in deceleration of ass? I dunno. Whatever is the opposite of getting moving is what I do best. Clearly, my ass is now growing INTO the couch.
Mamacita is back in the hospital for a blood clot in her leg and something else but not sure yet what that is. She’s been real woozy when I call so I can’t be asking her 90 questions. I am going up there today to see what’s what. Duty and I wandered on down to St. Michael’s yesterday, had lunch and roamed around the little shops. (Well, I roamed. He dutifully waited outside for me.) The only thing I could find that I wanted were some new “Life is good” shirts. I love those things. They are a tad pricey (I think). But they’re soft and pretty. I didn’t buy any because the last thing I need are more t-shirts. (Well, tshirts and books are the last things I need! heh) It was a nice afternoon and got me out of the house doing something enjoyable.
Anyway, I wanted to address Leanne’s comment in the last post about clicking off a site that sported a “Blogs for Bush” thingy in their sidebar. She said:
Seriously? You click away because of a blogroll? A lot of people have it on their blogs because of the traffic factor. Consider that not everyone who voted for him then is okay with what he’s doing now. That’s why his approval rating has plummeted.
Point taken, Leanne. (And offense NOT taken! heh) I think what you have on your blog speaks a lot about who you are. Duh, I know. It would just be hard for me to have something on my blog that didn’t resonate with my heart, regardless if it drew traffic to my site. There are a ton of sites involved in the Thursday Thirteen. I make it a point each week to not only visit my buddies but also to check out new sites to see who all is out there. If what they say or how they say it doesn’t resonate with me, I generally don’t visit again. And if that’s the case with people who surf over here via TT, I’m fine with that, too. I’m glad you commented, though. I love discussion and do try to consider other viewpoints. (key word is TRY!)
:)
OY! Gotta work on my newsletter. Must. Get. It. Out. This. Week. Or else my August promotion will be over before you know it.
(Forces ass up off the couch to take a shower.)
Bye for now.
LIFE IS GOOD!!! You know i love those shirts!!!
It’s Monday, my butt isn’t getting up and moving anywhere. Even if you set fire to it, there would be no “stop, drop and roll” happening. It’s like this every Monday and I think those “Sleep Gnomes” who fill you up with energy while you snooze… take off on Sundays or something.
Hi Snarky,
I know what you mean about growing into your couch, as I can relate and… must… try… to… get… some work done.
I don’t visit enough blogs to see the “stickers” that these blogs seem to have on them. The most common blog “sticker” I see is the Campaign One banner that rolls in the corner, usually the upper right-hand corner.

have to say I agree w. you on the blogs for bush thing. I try to read some of the posts and if I don’t get it, I may not go back. I like to think they have just not had time to update their site and they really don’t like him now. It drives me up the wall to see some of those stickers that go in the cornors of the blog. Some I just do not agree with and it’s hard not to make judgements.
Hope Mom is feeling better!
