Let’s begin with a quote from a world famous philosopher, shall we?
“I’ll pick out two outfits, one which is disgusting and one nice and I’ll ask my ‘friend’ what they think. If they go for the revolting one, I cut them out of my life.” – Paris Hilton
Interesting way to choose your friends, n’est pas?
Finally, the rain and wind has stopped. Although I rather enjoyed it, the fact that wind scares the bejeebus out of Max and he needs to crawl up my butt and the attendant mess the wind made in the back yard spoiled it for me. Oh, that and we lost power for five hours, too. This is the third time since we installed the generator that it has come in very handy. Props to NG for the suggestion. Unfortunately, our desktop (already not sounding so great) was the victim of a power surge and zapped the power supply. I bought a USB thingy (highly technical name for it) to take the stuff off the HD earlier in the week but did I manage to get my butt in gear to DO IT? I think you can guess the answer. Hopefully, we can just remove the HD and put it into another desktop. It would be much more of a catastrophe if something like that happened to my laptop. I wouldn’t be as blase about that. Of course, I wouldn’t be writing this as I would be curled in a tiny ball in the corner of my closet weeping.
I was THRILLED beyond belief that my last TT post garnered 52 comments! Clearly, TTers likey the pictures! heh It’s much appreciated, you guys.
BTW, I’d like to extend a shout-out to my cousin Lora for posting her first comment EVAH on my blog!! W00T! Let’s see, what can her COUSIN name be? Mary is “Cousin ‘O Love”, Dani is “Cousin ‘O Cool” …. Lora can be (hmmm, puts thinking cap on, takes it off realizing it belongs to Duty) Cousin ‘O Flair because there’s not one time I see her where she isn’t looking fabulous. She manages to look hip, cool and lovely all at the same time. (bitch! I hate her! Kidding!).
Miss Emma and I will be traveling to B’more to visit the mother tomorrow. Mom loved it when Em visited last time and it makes her happy and gives her ‘rents a break. And she and I have a good time together. Duty was teasing her tonight about perhaps her driving to Baltimore and she protested that she didn’t have a license. Duty said “Well, how about next week then?” and she replied “How about when I grow up?” in such a cute, non-snarky way. He actually leaned over and kissed her because she just beamed this big smile at him. (It ain’t just “Jostin” she has around her finger. It’s me and Duty too! shhhh)
