(Okay, not as descriptive as 44 and so much more but hey, it’s the best I could do. Thanks to the rhyming dictionary, I had a lot more choices than my feeble brain could come up with! I could have said ’46 and awash in toothpicks’ but that wasn’t as much fun! heh)
So, yeah. 46. I hate saying that so I won’t any any more. We took a poll in my family on Duty’s birthday as to what age people feel they are in their head and it was interesting to see the variances. I am perpetually 28 (again, with a dose of 12 now and again!) and I suspect I will stay there. I work with someone younger than me by just a few years and yet she seems ‘older’ to me. Maybe it’s that I think having kids somehow makes you a ‘real’ adult and since I don’t, I’m not. That makes no sense, I know. Welcome to “woo-woo logic” which is pretty much how my head works.
BTW, according to this site, I was conceived a mere 7 DAYS after my parents got married. Is this info I need to know? I think not. And I had to laugh that my master life number is 3. I laugh because I’ve always been drawn to threes – the 3rd song on almost any cd is likely to be my favorite, when I write, I group things in threes and other interesting coincidences involving that number that I cannot think of now at this early bit of the morning. If you want to read more about the characteristics of Life Path number 3, check this out.
Had a great time at dinner (Legal Seafood! mmm) and was presented with a Fairy Godmother bear by PiK and fiance! It’s so adorable! I love love love it!! Then the Caps game which was great for a period and a quarter and then it was ALLLLL downhill. We left when there was maybe six minutes to play in the last period and the score was 6-3. But it was a fun time. Stopped for coffee and a donut on the way home. Luffly!
Currently I am surrounded by purring cats, drinking pumpkin spice coffee and just relaxing. We will have to get our butts in gear in a bit to head up to House of Cool for cake (thanks D & J!!) and then over to the House of Mother to share cake and then to the airport of less cool and more planes to drop Duty off. What with his travel and then mine, I won’t see him again until mid-November. I will have a houseguest for a while – Neighbor Greg’s friend (also named Greg who we call “other greg”) was planning on staying here while Duty and I are both away but other stuff came up and he needs a place to hang for a bit and he and NG were getting on each other’s nerves. (They’ve known each other since 4th grade so I don’t think it’s a big fight or anything but we have extra room and all so why not?) Will I regret this? Stay tuned to Channel Snarkypants and see!
Okay, time to surf before I wake Duty up! Thanks to all who sent cards (Cousin ‘O Flair (extra early and with a picture!!), Cousin ‘O Love noting that this was the first time in many many years that we aren’t celebrating my bday together (pouts), Auntie Janet and Auntie Marge too!) Lots of love, balloons, bears and joy! An excellent weekend indeed!
Happy Birthday! (better late than never, lol) Your pumpkin spice coffee sounds good, will have to look for it next time I am at the store.
Hope you have a great day!
WEEEEEE!! BirFday fun!!!! Thank you for letting me celebrate with you! I had a lot of fun!
Stay 12/28 forever… growing up is overrated… and I’ll always hang out in Toys R Us and Never Never Land with you so you won’t be alone. =p
Glad you had a fun birthday. Thanks for mentioning me on your blog, which Mary has just bookmarked for me.
I’ll be checking in now and again!
Glad your birthday is SPENDID! I am a “3” also!
Pumpkin spice coffee is the best. What kind of cake are you having?
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Sounds like a great day except for the travelling parts! I hope you had a nice relaxing fun weekend. If its any consolation, I have two kids and dont feel remotely like a “real grown-up”
Hey Lisa,
Happy B-day and what a great weekend celebration you are having! Pumpkin spice coffee? Didn’t know there was such a thing, but it sounds delish and totally appropriate for this month and fall overall.
I am a life path number 1, which, according to the site you linked to, means we get along well. Which I think we do!

Oh my! I can just imagine all of the Birthday kisses due you! You’ll be dripping, sopping, soaked and wet before the weekend is through. I’d throw you a fluffy towel to dry off on – but it be best to let you baste in all that loving that you so deserve.
