Snow in April. Kids, that is just wrong. WRONG! I remembered an old Prince song called “Sometimes it snows in April” and went back to check the lyrics to post. But man, was it a depressing song! I didn’t remember it being that gloomy but it was. So, I shan’t bring you down on this lovely spring day here in snowy Stevensville. I just know it’s gonna kill all the pretty flowers and tree buds that have popped their head out. Damn.
Cheery news for a snowy day:
1. PiK has her very own blog. YEY! Go visit it now. I shall wait. (taps foot patiently). I will need to add her to my blogroll, I s’pose. :) I will wait to she makes it three months of blogging before I do. She’s known for being 110% into something for, oh, a week before she moves on to the next exciting thing. (See #8 of her TT list here)
2. We had a fun day (surprisingly) walking Stations of the Cross and some other mass-like thing at the Franciscan Monastery in DC yesterday. The weather was luffly (i.e. no fricking snow in April!). If you are ever visiting DC and would like a bit of time to look at the beauty all around you and take a break from the yukky energy that is the DC vibration, go visit this place. It’s GORGEOUS. (Extra special lovvies to the Cousin ‘O Love herself for making the trek there to join us.)
3. MMMM! Potato Salad. I loves me some and Cousin ‘O Love is making it for today’s visit with our friend Cissy. (Diet starts, uh, soon!)
Have a good (and hopefully non snow filled) day!
She needs to change her settings so non-blogspot peoples can comment.
Sorry we could not figure it out this weekend. And, NO, I did not send the snow.
Send me some warm weather. Pleease.
I visited the FM for the first time this summer with the vacation Bible school class I was helping out with. (Best ‘in town’ vacation I’ve ever had : ) I”ve lived in this area my whole life and didn’t even know it was there! What a place!!
The closest thing to Catholic in my upbringing was the gay neighbor next door, so…what exactly is the whole stations of the cross thing?
