Thursday 13: Words that describe me
Thursday 13

How unoriginal, I know. And this, from a chick who is doing nothing but sitting her ass here on the couch and doing nothing else. Oh well. At least I’m doing one this week! hehe

Thirteen words that describe me

1. Goofy - but in a cute way (I hope!)

2. Emotional - oh lordy. This one has been the bane of my very existence yet it’s also one of my greatest strengths.

3. Wishy-Washy: I’m a Libra - we see both sides (now). Can I help it if I see merit in each side? (Except when it comes to politics. Then I am NOT wishy-washy!)

4. Non-violent: I really don’t like any kind of violence. I can’t even watch it in movies. Except I do watch “The Sopranos”. Does it count that I hide my eyes during lots of scenes?

5. Loving: the daughter made me put that one in. (It’s true, though. As cousin ‘O Love says “When you love someone, you REALLY love them with all your heart.” So, yeah.)

6. Witty: This is me. You know it. Admit it. I’m the wittiest person you know.

7. Humble: LOL okay, not so much me

8. Voracious Reader I am ALWAYS in the middle of at least five books. I would read the back of a cereal box if I had nothing else to read. In grade school, I was the one ordering 20 books at a time from Scholastic Book Club. (Admits dorkiness)

9. Passionate: Don’t make me elaborate about how this is me. Just accept it and move on. (One day I will start a blog on the DL and this side will surface.)

10. Smart: But in my own way, not in a “measurable on the SAT” way. Generally, most who know me think I am so I must be. (Isn’t it true if everyone thinks it?)

11. Quirky: Like, I want to be of service and pick up trash on the roadside but am worried I will find chopped off body parts or bags of vomit. (I only wish I was kidding!) Who else do you know that worries about these things? Would neurotic be a better word, you think?

12. A big pile of mush (see #s 2, 5 and 9) - yeah, it’s true. I act tough (not) but those who know me know I have a very soft heart. (TOO SOFT … remember Roommate Greg?)

13. SNARKY!! You knew this one would be in here somewhere, right? (As defined in the Urban Dictionary: A witty mannerism, personality, or behavior that is a combination of sarcasm and cynicism. Usually accepted as a complimentary term. Snark is sometimes mistaken for a snotty or arrogant attitude.)

Not original? Maybe, but interesting nevertheless! I can find myself in a lot of the descriptions too.
My TT lists the 13 goals of a witch, with my thoughts on them.

I’m with you on #8. Just finished one book and I’ve got at least 3 more waiting. I have to stop myself buying books otherwise I wouldn’t have any space to live.

There is no such thing as having too many books. However, there IS such a thing as not nearly enough time to sit and read.

Neat list; it’s as original as you are… think of it that way.

    Happy TT.

Five books at a time? You are smart, please say you go to the library, that would be one expensive habit.

Very nice list, I wonder if anyone has written a nasty list about themselves when pmsing…lol.

I read lots too. My 13 is all about my library books. 12 of them. I need to get off the computer. I found this interesting.. And a big thumbs up for #6.

#8 is me to a tee. I just received a box of books today, have 20 or so in my “to read pile” and another 5 books on their way to my house.

I loved the Scholastic book lists that would magically appear in our school rooms. My parents never skimped when it came to books - so I was always laden down with tonnes of them when the books arrived. When I moved out, the books were passed on to others. Recently, I’ve taken to searching second hand bookstores for copies of the books I’d read as a child and now have a bookcase full.

Good TT, maybe not the most original, but I haven’t seen one like it for ages, and its nice for those that dont come here very often.

I think most women can claim #2, I can definitely relate anyways.
Do you think snarky has the same meaning as narky.

#3 - I’m a Libra too, so I can relate. Actually many of these words describe me well. Maybe I should do this topic sometime for a TT. :-)

Learned a great deal about you - which is the point of TT after all. Totally liked that you included a definition of snarky.

My TT is up: grammar and writing quotes.

Hello from another fellow #8! I have to travel today and have no reading material and it’s bumming me out. Maybe I’ll swing by the BN before going to the airport…

    This is a great list!

SOUL SISTER! Ive had EXACTLY the same concern about picking up garbage. I have never voiced this allowed but every time I see one of those “highway adopted” signs I play that same tape through, the whole “Aw that would be nice citizenship” coupled with the “id never get the image out of my head”. Thank you my smart quirky witty snarky (etc) friend!
