I read the Postsecrets blog every Sunday and am always bowled over at the things people share. Some things are funny, some are mundane and some (many) are things that they cannot speak out loud to another person. This week, in place of a new set of postcards, a YouTube video was up and it’s really a beautiful piece of work. The song (Breathe Me by Sia) really speaks to the feelings that are shared on the cards that are sent.
We all have our secrets that are too scary to share. I know I do. Many times I’ve considered sending in a postcard with one or another written on it. Instead, more than once, I’ve taken the chance and shared it with someone I love and trust. I felt better and realized that carrying it around was weighing me down 100x more than releasing it did.
If you have something that’s weighing on you, one way to release it is to write it down on a piece of paper, hold it between your hands, offer thanks to the Universe for the lessons it has taught you and then let it go – be it through burning it, burying it, merely throwing it away in the trash. Give your secrets over to the Universe. And let go.

what good is a life alone? there is always a choice involved and the fear is judgement placed on us by social norms and individual opinions.
sorting through all the crap is pretty messy sometimes and mr clean really can get the job done we just have to make the choice and effort towards that direction of cleaning all the crap up and jusy keep it as simple appreciation for what it is there is always something good the real question is do we see it?
We use a line in mental health “we are only as sick as our secrets.” This is awesome advice. I cant tell you how many times Ive seen people’s lives change for the better because they were able to tell their secrets in a safe way. Thanks for reminding us about this Lisa! Sometimes, I get wrapped up in crap and forget that there are answers! ANd thank you for your kindness on my blog. It totally totally helps.
Much love light and gratitude
