It was time, I thought

August 26, 2007 Written by Lisa

Time for a change on ye olde Snarkypants. I loved the clean look of my last layout and I especially loved that it was designed by the Goddaughter of Love and for that reason I was loath to change it. However, it’s time to move forward, given that Snarkypants is (gasp!) five years old this very year. Five years of whining, bitching, goofy comments, stealing info from DailyKos, hating this administration, pointless postings and the occasional deeply felt commentary about my life (such as it is). I thank you all for reading along, letting me know you’re out there and sending love and good energy always.

If you need a blog re-do (or if you’re starting one) and want a “totally you” layout, I can’t recommend Leanne highly enough. This is the second site I’ve asked her to do (the first being “The Healing Change” – my woo-woo site) and as I was with that design, I am pleased to pieces on this makeover. It makes me laugh because all I said to her was this: I like cats, coffee, computers, books and the color blue. Also, can you make it sorta cool, sorta goofy. That’s it. And what you see is her interpretation of that. Pretty neat, eh? She’s got mad skilz, yo. Check her out.

Thanks for your nice comments on the site. I will be adding and tweaking stuff (as my limited HTML/WP skills allow) as I go forward but this is it for now.

BTW, yes, I am out of my pit ‘o despair. Thanks for the luvvies on that. :)

And can’t forget this: Happy Birthday, Mom. Not a day goes by where I don’t think of you. Not. one. day. Love you lots.

Ya know, as we were working on this together you said “how do you just know” – now I’m wondering, maybe it really wasn’t me that knew, maybe the way that this gift flows through me was really more a gift for you from Lauren. I know how much you wanted to honor her memory even with a redesign, and I’m glad you’re pleased with how everything turned out.

Hi Lisa – Yes, I will consider hiring Leanne when I am ready to design a website, which I know I will be in the not-too-distant future.

She is amazing, and I looooove the look of your site. A nice way to commemorate five years of snarking as well.

Keeping snarking away – I love visiting your site and seeing what you are up to.

    Much love, Anita

Sometimes when I am ugly, I just go look at my site. It makes me feel so good. I hope yours does the same for you. Yes, Leanne is amazing with her skills!
