Those who read this blog regularly know about my beloved kitty Midjull who made his transition from the physical in July of this year. I sure do miss him.
But I don’t think I’ve talked much about my three other lovelies and our newest addition, Sophia. Each Saturday this month I will introduce one of them. Today’s spotlight is on Max, our doggie of love.

De dogg – official name is Max but he has been called all kinds of things from poohaid, Mr. Dogg, Maxells, Maxelhaid etc. He is, without question, the best doggie evah! Ex-boyfriend Charles and I loved Max from the moment we saw him at an animal hospital where he was left by his previous owners. Apparently, Max was hit by a car and broke his leg. The previous owners didn’t want to pay to get it fixed (or couldn’t – I really don’t know for sure) and left him. Their loss is my wonderful gain. He’s my child, my friend, my companion and just a fabulous dog.
The best thing about Max, I think, is his warm hearted nature. He’s happy to do whatever you want. Take a nap? That’s cool. Go outside and chase squirrels? That’s cool, too! Play “Wheeee!” with Daddy? Yeppers. And he’s especially willing to do what it takes to get a greenie or a chewie. His pack (in addition to me and Duty) are the next-door doggies, Jazzie and Zoe and MissyEmma. He loves visiting with the girls. He also loves wandering the neighborhood which he does when he manages to get out (before we tied the gate shut.) Cousin ‘O Love and family watched him twice when Duty and I went on vacation and Max was all about the Houdini. He’d dig under their fence and go roaming the grounds. Good thing he was found. :)
Max is the only dog I’ve ever had but I doubt he will be the last. But whomever follows him has big shoes to fill. He is, quite possibly, the world’s best dog.
