Fishey says “Don’t worry. Be Happy!”

As for me, I had a happy (if somewhat exhausting) week. I told Duty that I either need to step up my activities so I’m not so beat up from doing one thing or else just give up altogether and do nothing forever. He said “I know you think that makes sense, but it really doesn’t.” (Yes, I did think it made sense so poofactories on him!)

Cookie remains in the top 4 on American Idol (as he should, thankyouverymuch) and I am beginning to worry what will become of this addiction to him the show once it’s over. I’m going to have to find a new distraction. I bet Duty wishes cleaning and/or being even remotely domestic would be a good one, huh? :) Perhaps finishing up my seminary projects would be a good one, eh? Anyone want to help me write an eight page paper on grief? Anyone? Bueller?

But funnest thing of all this week was the Eddie Izzard concert in DC. I went with the Sister-in-law O’Love and her husband and, of course, Duty. Although the show started about 30 minutes late, Eddie was in great form. Doing the blokey thing this time around, he wore jeans, a regular shirt and some interesting tux-like jacket. I missed the skirt and heels from last time (2003) but he doesn’t need any particular kind of clothing to make him quintessentially Eddie. I don’t know how much longer he will be doing stand-up and I’m so glad that I was there in 2000 (Philadelphia), 2003 (DC) and now 2008 (DC). I’d go see him whenever, wherever.

So, yeah. Got home at midnight on Thursday (well, Friday, really), stayed up another hour (!!!) to surf the AI forums (what is wrong with me??) and had to get up at 630 for work. Yep, we was fogging out all day. But it was worth it. I had a great time.
