Master Cleanse Day 1 – not too bad

January 12, 2009 Written by Lisa

I was up at 4:44am (who knows why) so decided to get on the salt water flush and whatnot. I like salty things so this wasn’t hellish to me but perhaps by day 5, I may say otherwise. The nicest thing about the morning was I had lots of time to putz around and even did a nice, if brief, meditation.

I had no difficulty getting down the cocktail of maple syrup, lemon juice and cayenne pepper. (MMM, right??) And had some herbal tea in between as well as some water. No cravings or anything … so a pretty easy day 1, I think. I’m sure my body is just plotting all kinds of good surprises for me on days 2,3 and more.

Right now, I’m tired and have a bit of a sinus sort of headache (I haven’t had one of those in at least 10 years so that’s probably a symptom of some detox stuff moving on out.) I might go cuddle up with Sophia and take a nap or something. But not before I finish drink #5. (6 is the minimum you have to have for nutritional needs.)

Takes 10 big ass sips and realizes she’s STILL not done. (sobs quietly)

On to day 2.
