Stolen from somewhere or other:
What’s the most annoying sound in the world?
My neighbor’s hot rod car – he fires it up on Saturday and Sunday just to drive around the block. I can hear that thing a mile away and want to go strangle him.
Which of other people’s mannerisms do you find very annoying?
Mouth breathers – UGH. Also, rude phone manners. Or overly solicitous phone manners. Unless I really, REALLY like you, I won’t talk to you on the phone. I just hate it. And yet, I do it for a living. Fancy that!
What do you do that really annoys others?
I have been told that the sound of the fork tines against my teeth when I am eating is not a pleasant one. My thoughts often flash across my face so if you are boring me or I am otherwise engaged in something more fun, it’s sort of apparent. I do try, however, to not let that happen because I’ve been on the receiving end of it and it is not pleasant.
In what way has your own behavior recently caused you annoyance?
I annoy myself almost constantly. Some days I want this chick with whom I spend too much time to just go away for a while. The stellar way I play lead in “Can’t Win Theatre” is one of the many ways I annoy myself. Being a natural Libra, I can justify anything. If I am feeling bored in my job, I always have to counter with “be thankful you have a job” as if I can’t just let myself feel something for a bit. Grr.
Who’s the most annoying person you know?
There are two and I find it interesting because they remind me of each other but at opposite ends of the spectrum. What is even more interesting (to me, of course) is that they represent my shadow sides. One represents the needy, “please, please notice me” part of myself that I try to keep hidden and the other represents the bossy, know-it-all who just plows right over people in an effort to be !RIGHT! all the time. I know none of you will believe it but as a child, bossy was one word that applied to me. (hehe surprise!) So, I work hard at not letting that part of me take the wheel and steer. Nor do I want the “please notice me” child to be driving. Bottom line: the two most annoying people I know are annoying because they mirror parts of me I don’t want to see.

“Can’t Win Theater!” I love it! Since you’re a thespian on the stage, you’re classier than me. I star in the syndicated sitcom “I Love Lucy for the New Millennium.”
I have Bobby Sherman, Barry Manilow and Helen Reddy on my iPod. Can you top that? I thought not.
