My aunt Marge passed away on Tuesday at the age of 80. Despite a very tumultuous relationship with her all my life, she was indeed a blessing to our family in many, many ways. Cousin O’Love has asked me and my two aunts to come to Indiana for the funeral on Saturday so we’ll be leaving Friday night and returning on Sunday.
And the following weekend, I leave to go to Oklahoma for a week-long class at Sancta Sophia Seminary. I really need a week to just shut off real life and be in the amazing energy that resides at Sparrow Hawk Village. It will be an intense week since it’s all focused on counseling. It’s no secret to anyone that I’ve spent years and years and YEARS in therapy. Love it. Would do it the rest of my life if I could but one thing about it that wasn’t helpful was it allowed me to stay in my head. I need help to integrate what I’ve learned and that’s taken me years more to do. Energy work has helped me significantly to do that where just plain talking hasn’t been as effective for me. The class at Sancta Sophia focuses on many different modalities of counseling so it will be interesting to see what works best for me now having experienced both the talking kind and the energetic kind.
That’s the haps here. You don’t want to know the rest. It would bore you and/or alarm you. One or the other.
