How’s that for a stupid post title, hey? (takes a bow) I know. I usually try for something a little more clever but this is all I got. Deal.
1. Have not been to the gym since last Thursday. Ass? Bigger than ever and still hurts. Remedy? Three Aleve and walking around seem to do the trick. But dammit! This did not make me happy at all.
2. Did not get out of my pajamas yesterday. Fortunately, I didn’t have anywhere to go but did have some things to do – all of them in the house. Made Italian sausage for dinner and also some homemade potato salad into which I put too many onions. It’s more like onion and mayo salad with a whiff of potato.
3. Just finished episode 7 of “True Blood” Season 1. Love this show. Love it. Done by the same guy (Alan Ball) who created the amazing “Six Feet Under” – one of my all-time favorite shows. The characters on both shows are very well developed and fleshed out. Over on Television Without Pity forums someone commented thus: “I know both seem kinda mystical. I thought that too then realized “I’m watching a love triangle between a vampire, shapeshifter and a mindreader.” If AB can pull it off and not make it hokey, go for it.” We can all blame the Cousin O’Cool for getting me into all this Vampire stuff. (Ha! Like I’m fighting her about it, right?)
4. Back to full-time work today – I wonder why everyone is always so glad to see me. Makes me suspicious and I’m pretty sure that’s not their intent. I miss getting up late already.
5. Just had some of the potato salad and it is God-awful. Srsly. If *I* don’t want none of your potatoes, they’s horrible bad. ICK! Patooey! Thppt! Ick! (dumps rest in trash)

… and it was NICE. Yep, saw The Hal tonight in Arlington VA and he was awesome! Of course, my camera takes that moment to die and so I have no photo of the auspicious occasion, dammit. I’ll get one when he comes back in August. After the show, he was just hanging around talking to people and I think I sort of jumped him. I’m not sure. It’s all a haze. But he’s great. And hot. And cute. And … and … and …. yeah. (sigh)
I love him almost as much as Cookie but don’t tell anyone, K?

But managing to amuse myself somehow. I can get around a bit better now and Gal, NOTHING will stop me from seeing Hal! hehe I’m hoping for a picture and one that is 100x better than the one of me with my beloved sekrit boyfriend. We’ll see.
In the meantime, this made me laugh:

So yeah. Ouch! The pain in my lower back that been threatening to visit has come to stay and I have no idea how long a visit it will be. I’m a very bad sick, semi-incapacitated person because I get all whiny and bored. I’ve been taking Aleve and putting a heating pad on it but so far, it just hurts more. So not fun and so not a fun way to spend the first of three days off. Farts.
On the happy side, I found a really cute television show to watch while waiting for my next installment of True Blood. It’s called “Being Erica” and despite being on Soapnet, it’s very well done. The main character (Erica, duh) reminds me of Stephanie Miller (one of my favorite progressive radio hosts) so I almost feel like I’m watching a show about Steph. At any rate, I am loving having all the eps online at Hulu to watch at my leisure. New season for it starts this coming Wednesday night.
Super Secret note to Gal: WATCH THIS SHOW. You will love it. I promise.
Also on the happy side, Hal! Hal! and Hal! Tomorrow. I can’t wait! And I have a bunch of readings to work on this evening so may as well put all this sitting on my butt time to good use, hmm? I must say, though, this completely F’s up my gym schedule. I will probably go tomorrow during the day and float around in the pool some and do what I can. Still. FEH.

Do you get regular massages?
Regular? No. I wish I did, though. They are so nice. Might get one this month, now that you mention it!
Do you have an answering machine?
We have the voicemail set up through the phone company but not a machine, per se
What cuss word do you use the most?
I love the word “fuckety” because it’s got the F word in it but you add the -ety and it sounds fun! Almost as if you had never said the word fuck.
Are you underweight or overweight?
I am really underweight … if I were 7’10! Alas, I’m not so I carry a bit o’the poundage on meself.
Can you see your veins?
I don’t know. Where am I looking? I guess if I don’t know, the answer is no.
Soap?
I like Lever 2000 but I try to use more natural (with few, if any, chemicals in them).
Fruit?
I love a good orange which are hard to find
Kind of red meat?
Now and again, I like a good piece of steak.
Fish?
Does the fish sammich at McDonald’s count? I like those. (heh)
Candy bar?
Snickers are the best, ever. It’s the one ad slogan that I think is completely apt: “Snickers satisfies” – and it does.
Eaten a whole bag of potato chips?
Sure, in moments of snarfage, I have done that but it’s very, very infrequent because it leaves me feeling gross and I don’t need that.
Eaten lobster?
YUM! Yes. Although when Charlie and I went to Maine and ordered lobster, they brought the whole thing out! Teh Horror! I couldn’t eat it. And this – from a woman who can pick a crab with the best of them, too. I have no idea why those little beady lobster eyes freaked me out. Best I don’t know what original form my food came from, yanno?
Climbed a mountain?
No. And I never will. It’s just not my gig.
Been skydiving?
This is like asking me if I want to be really scared and end up with soiled underpanties. The answer to both is an affirmative NO.
Been water skiing?
Again with the adventure stuff. No and a thousand times no. I’m a big ass scaredy cat. I accept it. Why won’t you?
Wish you could change something about your life?
Yes, several many things, actually. If I had to pick just one, it would be releasing my desire to procrastinate and actually get things done.
Like your nose?
As noses go, it’s alright.
Like salt and vinegar chips?
I do and have them every once in a while. They aren’t snarfy for me because they are so tart, that I can eat a little bit and then that’s enough.
Eat salsa?
Just the mild kind. But fresh salsa? MMMM!
Own a boat?
Yes, and it sits in the driveway mocking the husband who wants to keep it and buy things for it but not really use it. I don’t know what’s up with that whole issue.

1. Is there a blog as far as its appearance goes that you think is the most fabulous?
Hmm … let me think. None that come to mind off the top of my head. I love Leanne’s work and can pick out her distinctive style on various and sundry blogs around the nets. She’s a WONDERFUL artist and web designer, IMO.
2. Do you like the look and the content of your blogs?
I do! Leanne updated Snarkypants last year to give it some freshness and I tweak around with the sidebars and stuff on my own, adding and subtracting as I go. Since I just put up Practically Intuitive, I’m sure more futzing is in store for that site. But as a whole, they represent me on the interwebs in all my mystically dorky ways.
3. Have you ever thought what would happen to your blog in case you died?
It would just fade into the sunset. I don’t think my cats have any interest in carrying it on.
4. Has any particular blogger had a great impact on how you set up and write your blog?
Well, the fabulous Goddaughter of Love got me started blogging way back in 2002 and it was for her I wrote most of those earlier posts. As time has gone by, I’ve taken bits and pieces of what I’ve seen from other blogs and incorporated them into my own. So, no one person or blog – just a bunch of them.
5. Would you want a fellow blogger to give you suggestions or criticism of what you write?
Sure! Lay it on me, brother! heh
6. Is the number of visitors each day to your blog important to you?
Nah, not so much. It’s been a fairly consistent number for a while now with spikes now and again when I put something out on Twitter or a Cooklandia forum. Besides, darling, it’s *quality* over quantity, right?
7. What percentage of your readers do you think actually comment?
Uh, 2% – Gal and Ami with periodic responses by the Cousins O’Flair and Love. I’m happy to hear from anyone!
8. Do you have a favorite blogger who does the memes that you participate in?
Take one guess. She’s my favorite person from which to steal!
9. How often do you update your blog/site and why?
Whenever I have something to say, someone to fawn over (hi Cookie and Hal) or a need to rant. I mean, whatever else is a blog for, I ask! I’d say I write posts 3-4x a week, sometimes more depending on how much my muse stirs my second chakra. I just like having my little corner of the universe.
