Wand of Empowerment

Hi kids,

How did I let a day go by (or two!) without updating ye olde Snarkypants?? Sometimes I run out of stuff to say. (I know, right?) Here’s what I’ve been working on, though.

To help me reach my “Readings for Hope” goal, I decided to go back to my nifty Manifesting project that brought me great good fortune last time. If you remember, here’s the basic premise:

Basically, it’s this: In order to manifest money (which is really just energy), you have to assign it an energetic address. For example, let’s say that you want to manifest $1000 and have said that this amount of money in your bank account would make you feel relieved, or joyful or whatever emotion you choose. Once you’ve figured that part out, then you have to do some real down-to-earth things to bring that energy into your life more.

Okay, so this go-round, I decided that my word for the month would be SERVICE: service to self, service to others and service to the Universe. I chose $400 as the amount of money I wanted to raise by May 31. Therefore: SERVICE = $400. Got that?

I decided on a few strategic action things I could do in the physical to embody the word SERVICE:

1. Service to self: Stop making snarky remarks about a co-worker. I want to bring a different energy to my interactions with her so this serves me because I will feel better about how I relate. This is a stretch for me because my default with regard to said co-worker is a roll of the eyes. So, saying she’s going to be late with a totally straight face will require a bit of effort on my part.

2. Service to others: Over at Democratic Underground’s woo-woo forum, there’s a few people who tend to use it as a therapy group of sorts. Some totally troll for attention. Mostly, I stay out of those threads because I don’t like the latter and I often don’t have anything to contribute. I decided, however, to find the threads where the poster seemed sincere about needing support and then chime in, wishing them Light or commiserating with them. This is different for me and believe it or not, a bit out of my comfort zone. One poster over there does this with such ease and joy. She’s the first to welcome new people, the first to say “I understand” and the first to offer good advice. I respect that and she is well loved over there for being present. I like this and think it’s a nice way to really be a part of the community. I mostly chime in when I have something of (what I consider) value to say but this kind of interaction IS of value and I know I like it when others pop in and say things in my thread.

Service to the Universe: There’s a mantram called “The Great Invocation” which I learned at the Seminary. It really resonates with me so my service to the Universe is to say this each and every night.

From the point of Light within the mind of God
Let light stream forth into human minds
Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into human hearts
May the Coming One return to Earth.

From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide all little human wills
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

From the centre which we call the human race
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth

I especially love the line about “sealing the door where evil dwells …” – (shhh! I always think of closing Dick Cheney behind a big wooden door when I recite that. hehe)

While this is not all I am doing or will do this month to embody that energy, it’s a little sampling of my 3D actions. So far, a couple interesting things have happened as a result of my holding the service vibration. And I’ve already faced a challenge and stood up and spoke my peace on it. (Hence the “Wand of Empowerment” title!

Part two of what’s happened so far comes tomorrow evening. I thought I’d be real transparent on this so you guys can see it all in action. And who knows, maybe it will give you some ideas of how to manifest things in your own life.

  1. Wave that wand, Snarkela! We all need to do more, and do better, in order to make this world a better place. Some people understand the concept, but when it comes to turning it into a reality, they just stay frozen in place. This post reveals that you have concrete plans for getting it done! Brava!

    • Thanks Gal! I need a nice big wand …. with swirlies and cats and stuff. In the meantime, I'll just toss Lucie around and see how that works! (Arms self with bandaids and bactine) :-)

  2. Jody, I had to read your comment about three times to catch all of it but I think I got it. Quite a profound statement there. I think you're right, though. (takes this off to the Ponder Room!)
