Hello from cloudy and cool Old Orchard Beach Maine!
It’s Day 4 of vacation and we’ve done all there is to do so now we’re bored. (Really. We are.) We went to the Kittery Outlets (same ones as back home), Freeport Outlets (ditto) and Portland for a bit. Ate at a couple of very expensive and totally not worth it restaurants, a couple of good little ones and some in-betweens. I managed to make my way into South Portland today to buy a much-needed new coffeemaker since ours died the day before we left. And you all know I cannot bear not to have my coffee, right? (Plus, did you know in a bed and breakfast, you can’t just call down to the front desk? Yeah. There is no phone. And here? No front desk either.)
Anyway, it’s been a nice mini-break but I’m a creature of habit (as is Duty who is all annoyed about having to lay on the bed and play his online poker games rather than sitting on the couch with it propped on a little ledge) and I miss my kitties, doggie and bed. Plus, we’re not used to hanging out with each other this much. No fighting or anything but we are too much in each other’s space. Good thing we are heading home early tomorrow. YEY!
Next adventure? 3 days of babysitting for Godson of Love and the Luke man coming up next weekend. If you never hear from me again after that weekend, look for me in a heap in the corner, covered in baby-barf and various train-like toys. heheh
