I think I’m the only one shocked by that news. Days are getting shorter, kids are going back to school …. shifting, shifting, shifting. I love fall almost as much as spring.
My podcasts on Practically Intuitive are doing so well and I couldn’t be more tickled about that. I get such great comments and lots of new readers and listeners from it.
It reminds me of when I was a kid and I used to practice being a radio DJ and create all kinds of shows on my portable cassette player.
My cousins and I used to do this together too (waves to Cousin O’Flair who was my commercial announcer) and I remember Flair, her sister and I had a “talk show” where I (as host) posed questions to my guests (Flair and sis who were 9 and 7, respectively).
It was called “The Early Bird Show” (so creative, wasn’t I?).
One of the questions I asked Flair’s sister (who was 7 mind you) was “What do you think of open marriage?” She mouthed the words silently to me so it wasn’t on the recording “I don’t know what that is” . heheh
Apparently, I spent a little too much time (at 10, mind you) reading Cosmopolitan because I totally knew what open marriage was. Why I thought this was an appropriate question to ask a 7 year old, I’ll never know.
Anyway, my happy for today is doing my own little podcast and knowing people like it. Also too: I like my voice. :)
PS Hope Practically Intuitive’s #1 DJ and her family — furry and otherwise — are all OK after today’s earthquake.
Happy as can be to read this post. Your voice is perfect. Yes, girl, perfect.
So you were a snarky little Cosmo Girl? I’m not surprised! I’m glad things are progressing so well. Stay on track!
I am laughing so hard I have tears rolling down my face! Remember riding in the back of the orange truck to the Eastern Shore and doing a radio show? “It was a froggy night”
