Pal Christine and I had fun at the Monarch Workshop this past weekend. Such a diverse group of women doing all kinds of interesting things.
Imagine creating a whole business out of confetti! :) And here I thought talking about woo stuff was hard to get people to believe, eh?
We were definitely out of our element and tossed into a place where no one knew what I meant by “What’s the energy of your business like?”- Stylists, bloggers, confetti queens – not a one was into the woo as a profession but many were intrigued.
Christine and I decided we traveled so well together that we should just chuck the husbands and get married.
Hers usually gives her shit about being on the computer so much (he’s not so much as ever touched one!) and not cooking. I’m online twice as much as her and I don’t care that she doesn’t cook.
She, in turn, let me make all the snarky comments I wanted on the dumb TV shows we watched (stuff on HGTV like Property Brothers and the like) and seemed like she enjoyed it. I didn’t realize I was starving for someone to share those things with me. Duty hates when I make comments on those shows.
(I think he takes it as criticism of his viewing preferences instead of commentary on why one guy keeps adding in hot tubs to every makeover or why they didn’t renovate the top floor of this house but spent a bizillion dollars on the bottom.)
So yeah. Ditching the hubs and getting married to my pal. :)
The other amazing thing about last week was a HUGE upswing in business seemingly (!!!) out of nowhere. I think much of it had to do with the clearing stuff I’ve been working on via Access Consciousness + the energy of a particular book. People were coming out of the woodwork and not a day went by where I didn’t get a paid session, new long-term clients (got 2!), or strategy sessions (5) that can turn into paid / long-term clients.
It was VERY cool, I have to say. A bit overwhelming but in all the best ways and none of the crap ways.
And what else is possible?
And here I thought I found traveling with others difficult because I’ve been alone so long! Well you two old marrieds certainly dispel that hypothesis.
Congratulations on the busy. Busy *IS* good!
Busy is good! I have a travel friend who appreciates my snark, too, and I had forgotten about that until you mentioned it. That’s important in a travel buddy.
