After some back and forth with gay boyfriend Charlie, I decided that I’d blow past my depression ditch and go to see the Hal tonight. Don’t know what my issue is but I do have one. My depression always manifests as apathy and when I decide to blow off not one but two sekrit boyfriend events, I know I’m in the throes of it.

I really, really want a picture with him because I have (a crappy) one with Cookie so I need a (non-crappy) one with the Hal to round out my collection of stalkings and whatnot.

Heading out to the docs this morning (my own doctor this time who is not as Gorgeous McCuterson as Duty’s is) for some med checks. (I was going to write about it but got bored thinking of it and hell, it’s my own stuff so I’m not gonna bore you all with it.)

Look for a picture (I hope) of me and SB2 to follow. That should (should!) cheer my ass up!

Mostly because his Godmother sucked hardcore at diaper changing and putting bitty arms through tight t-shirts. Bless his heart for being so patient with me. Although he did barf milk on me later as payback, I’m sure. He barfed on Cousin O’Love too and as far as I know, she knows how to change a diaper (for a boy) and get heads through shirts. In fact, I once saw her set the land speed record for diaper changing in a department store elevator so I’m pretty sure he didn’t barf on her for that.

I got to hold him lots and lots but also tried to remember to share the babyholding. When he cried was a good signal for me to trade off with someone. (Someone = the mama)

But we had such fun at Luke’s party. Lots of kids (kept my distance), cake (no distance, thank you) and presents. Kid presents are awesome! He wanted to play with them all right when he opened them. Lots of strategic hiding took place, don’t ya know? Anyway, here he is wearing the chef hat (but not the jacket) that Duty and I gave him. Cousin O’Cool says he wore it while out in the moon bounce too. YEY for picking out fun presents. :)

Newsletter goes out tomorrow. Wish me luck! At least I finally got it out before the end of July! heh

I saw this on FAILBlog and had to laugh. Then I wondered if I should make Lucie a FB page. Following that, I pondered what became of my life.

So, yeah. My life. What of it, you ask? Gal, thanks for the reminder to chill like P. Diddy-Boz. I needed that reminder so thank you, Angels, for sending your message through someone I always listen to. Spazziness is down to the usual amount, newsletter is ready to be sent, just got a referral to do a reading for someone so life is peachy. Oh yeah, and floaties in the pool today. All in all, a good day.

More after Luke’s awesome 3rd birthday party tomorrow. I got him a toy guitar (Duty says he will disavow any ownership of that gift and sends his sympathies to the parents) and a cute chef outfit. (Cousin O’Cool suggested that one – little chef hat and jacket with nifty kid sized utensils. Too precious for words.) So, it’s present opening, cake and of course, Boz-holding. I’m excited!

Happy Monday, (three) peeps! Believe it or not, I got in the pool TWICE this weekend! Neighbor Greg had rigged up some concoction where he recycles the water through a hose that is heated by the sun and runs it back into the pool. Bottom line: 85 degrees = me in the pool! I was in there for just a little while on Saturday but did about a half hour of floaties on Sunday while listening to the neighbor dude’s lawn mower. (Although loud sounds generally bother me, stuff like that doesn’t at all. In fact, I rather like it.) It was most luffly. Duty was sidelined all weekend with a headcold of some sort so I was mostly on my own.

So, check it: my buddy Kara at Conduit of Joy wrote the sweetest post about me and my mad intuitive skillz. That tickled me all to pieces. As I wrote in a comment under the post at her blog, from the moment we talked that first time, I knew we’d be fast friends. We speak the same language of the Woo but are also mental as well (not THAT kind of mental, kids!) – loving the research end of things and learning and whatnot. I just love her. (Can you tell?)

Not only that happy news but the nice young man I’ve been practice coaching (for free) over the past few months has asked to continue our coaching relationship as a paid service. YEY! He’s my first official coaching client. What’s funny is that he found me on a “totally unrelated to the woo-woo” board (AskMeFi) and he really didn’t know all the ins and outs of where, exactly, my intuitive skills come from. It’s been a growing experience for us both and when he raised the idea of continuing for a fee, I did a small dance around the room. heheh (Shhh! Don’t tell anyone, K?)

So, things are picking up and I will tell you (transparency and whatnot) that I am thisclose to making my manifesting goal for June ($450) raised ONLY through fees from PI stuff. (Word for the month: integration) – I am so not kidding, peeps. This manifesting thing WORKS if you do the steps. I swear. Each month I am raising the amount just by a bit and it appears. Out of thin air. I don’t even really wonder how – it just does.

Since I promised a newsletter in July, I suppose I should get working on that, eh? (Has a small spazz out but regains composure quickly. Sorta.)

You know it’s a good day when you ain’t wearing underpanties! LOL

(This is me trying to act all cool and stuff. I almost never go without underpanties. Don’t tell anyone or I’ll lose my “going commando” card, mmkay?)

I’m being very silly because I’m happy. (I know. WTF, right? heh) Just had a fun couple of days goofing around and whatnot and it’s made me smile. My eating is majorly under control, I’ve been to the gym twice this week and all is ~flowing~ right in my world.

Add to that the fact that I got tickets to see my other sekrit boyfriend Hal Sparks when he’s in Arlington VA in two weeks. Whoooo hooo! I missed him when he was there in August because I was in Colorado for a wedding so I’m extra thrilled to see him this go-round. I took the day off and everything because why not? How cute is he? I can’t wait!!

So yeah. I’m just happy.

Californ-nuh what?

Silly me! It’s called Californication – one of Showtime’s series. So, I was in on the Dexter bandwagon from (almost) the start. But I was slow to find the gem that is this show starring David Duchovney. My friend Will told me it was his guilty pleasure so I downloaded an ep on iTunes. It was intriguing but how much can you tell from one episode, you know?

According to the Wiki entry, Californication is described thusly:

The series revolves around Hank Moody, a charming ladies’ man of a writer and novelist plagued by personal demons. He blames his years-long case of writer’s block on a variety of reasons, ranging from the hedonism of Los Angeles, to his girlfriend Karen leaving him. Hank constantly deals with the consequences of his lack of will to say “no” to available drugs, sex and alcohol, while trying to show his family that he can be a good, responsible caring father to Becca and a monogamous partner to Karen.

David Duchovney is actually pretty sexy even looking scruffy!

Since the new season of Dexter started, I had to get Showtime back on our rotation. I happened upon Californication in the On Demand section while flying through the first season of Nurse Jackie. Only the second season of the show is available On Demand so I watch a couple eps a night (28 mins long each). I gotta say – this show has totally grown on me. There’s sex, dirty talk, laughing, drinking, complex relationships, goofy characters … all the stuff that piques my curiosity and attention. I only get the goofy characters in my real life so gotta get the rest somewhere, hey?

Alas, there will be no Dave-a-fornication this weekend in Charlottesville but a good time will be had by all, I’m sure. Front row seats (courtesy of the Uni who has outdone itself this week bestowing all kinds of goodies on me) and a van full of Cookie fans to ride and dine with will be a treat. I’m taking the camera that I know how to work so my shots won’t be ringing with absolute clarity of the woman’s head in front of me but rather of Dave himself. Or so I plan. Who knows how it will play out? Wish me luck.

So, we are Bethany Beach bound once work is over and it will be fun. Cousin O’Love celebrated a milestone birthday in August and her life has just now settled down to enjoy it. She has invited her best friends and her best family members (hee!) to spend the weekend at the beach. I am bringing the last book in the Twilight series, jeans, tshirts and comfy pajamas – Clinton and Stacey be dammed. Comfort is the key word for the weekend. Also bringing stuff to make cosmos. Must remember not to drink too many of them. The intense staring at the wall for an hour is peaceful, true. But time spent in the bathroom later is not as much fun (and intense in a gross way). So, one (maybe two) cosmos for me.

Uh oh. I’ve entered Bridget Jones territory. Lauren and I used to call each other “Jones” the way Bridget’s boss called her. Every once in a while, I slip into BJ-isms. (I think I am her. If you want to see the inner workings of my head, just watch “Bridget Jones’s Diary”. It’s all you need to know.)

Best line:
Bridget: “Nice boys don’t kiss like that.” Mark Darcy: “Oh yes they fucking do.”

I can haz my own Mark Darcy, pleez? (He’s not Josh Groban but really, who is?? tee hee)
