Well, as expected, Eddie was FABOO!!! The place was packed and such diversity in the crowd! I saw one group – had to be daughter, mother and grandmother (how cool is that to take your grandma!).
He looked gorgeous in a skirt and boots (dammit, why can’t my legs look like that?? heh) and was just totally “Eddie”. And yes, it really was like a rock star coming to town. Everyone there was totally into him. (not me of course. I remained aloof – HAR!! Yeah Yeah Yeah)
I was looking for my Izzog buddy Kevin in the crowd (he said Row T for Tranny) and although I saw a couple guys who could have been him (thankfully, NOT the dorky guy wearing pleather pants), I didn’t see the real him.
Tonight I take the Goddaughters and I know they are going to LOVE it. 3rd row center is going to be awesome (we were 13 rows back last night and could see quite well so I know 3rd row will rock).
I wish I could remember some good routines but honestly, it went by in such a blur and I was just so in awe to be near him (I am the goofiest dork ever, I know) that he could have read the phone book and I would have been thrilled. (Maybe he did. I better check with H and see).
You know, I don’t think I would make a good reporter for stuff I dig. I am totally giddy over it and just couldn’t critique it to save my life. I can say, however, that it was a significantly better show than we saw in Philly 3 years ago (Circle). As I recally, he wasn’t feeling well the night we saw him so I’m willing to cut him some slack. He was definitely “ON” last night though.
Big ass fun was had by all.
