Question:Hey! What is that, anyway?
Answer: Something I am taking this week for no reason other than I can. YEY!
I have no major plans other than to get my hair cut and finish the ordeal of the canaled tooth. How’s that for slack-o-rama?
I am thinking I might go to the gym every morning, spend 1 hour on a coaching teleclass each day, make an attempt to clean out another section of the basement, visit lots of bookstores for no good reason, futz around with my Ipod (Oh! I do so lurve that thing!) and fix my H some good home-cooked meals.
Subject to change, of course.
I am definitely a control freak, though. No doubtaroonies on that. In fact, I am shortly heading into work so I can get things organized for Danish one to take over my desk. In point of fact, I trust her implicitly to carry things out the way I would (better, probably, given her anal penchant) and that I won’t return to a shitstorm next Monday as I do when MD takes care of stuff. OY! Don’t even get me started talking about that!
Heard from the new job peeps that they should be checking references this week and asked me to send some writing samples. Of course, I didn’t send them this link as my incessant whining about work and life might be off-putting to them! I did find some good examples of stuff I’ve done that is work related (and not certain stories I have in my collection (ahem)). Hopefully, more info will be forthcoming soon. I didn’t think they would get around to stuff at year end. I still have a really good vibe about this so no worries here.
Sharon’s peegs will be heading home soon (God willing) and it will be back to normal here. How I will miss the sounds of five pigs chomping on carrots at the same time! (/sarcasm). Wayyyy too many pets in this house – at present: 5 guinea peegs, 4 kitty cats, one dog of love (and a partridge in a pear tree).
We are giving our other computer to my mom soon. Her sisters each have one now and the one she had before was a loaner from the county who totally badgered her on her usage of it and she felt pressured and freaked. Plus, they set her up for email on Netscape and she really was overwhelmed (being old and a newbie) on getting mail so she never used it and gave it back. This time around, the Queen of all that is Internet Surfing (uh, me) will be instructing her bit by bit so she should be okay. Soon the day will come when my mother starts IMing me at work, right?? (NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!)
Anyway, that be the haps for now. And what is it with 70 degree temps in January? Not that I am complaining, of course. It was loverly yesterday.
Okay, off to work!
Writing samples???!!! Surely they know you are the queen of grammar and spelling! :D
