YOWZA! I am sooo not used to this fast paced life! I am definitely much more used to coming home, spacing out, puttering online and watching some tv. This going out 3 nights in a row is just too much for this old lady.
For the younger, not quite exhausted version, check out Goddaughter ‘O Lurve’s page.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were consumed with all things Washington Capitals. Despite their sucky season, I’ve enjoyed learning more about hockey, going to the games and finally knowing what the heck is going on down there on the ice!
Caps U: Monday and Wednesday were Caps U with my soon to be new husband, Joe Beninati. He’s Italian, knows hockey inside and out, has good energy around him and is pretty cute. I think I will marry him, retire to a life of following him on the road and being a hockey whore wife. Many thanks to my current husband for introducing me to hockey. (Hee!)
Besides finding my next husband, we did get a chance to tour the locker room, learn some strategy, spent 45 minutes going over the offside rule (I think I have it now but the game is still too fast for me to catch when it happens) and other cool stuff. I really enjoyed the whole experience.
Tuesday was the game against Ottawa (new home to Peter Bondra (snifff)) and like GOL says, it wasn’t that exciting of a game. No fights, few penalties and ended in a tie. What’s the point if you aren’t going to have any of the stuff that really makes up a hockey game? heh We introduced COL to the game and she seemed to enjoy it (whilst flirting with a big dude in a hat sitting next to her, of course!).
Husband ‘O Lurve and I had tix to see the Devs play on Thursday but neither one of us was up to trekking down there again after such a week. It was definitely more enjoyable watching it from the comfort of my bed in my jammies.
Next week, Lah and I are going to see the ‘canes play – yes! Smackdown time! ROWWWWWR!! And of course, we are all going to see the Flyers game (“Flyers Suck”) so that should be fun. I am going to have to find a new hobby once hockey season ends (and may not be next year if the CBA crap goes down).
Enough hockey! :)
Work is still insane. Seems I have to go in for at least 3-4 hours every weekend just to stay afloat. They are working on automating the part of the process that takes the longest and I’m glad that it’s FINALLY become a priority. The volume is almost overwhelming and once again I find myself without time to truly goof off and that cannot happen!
Next weekend is the Anodea Judith Chakra weekend! This was such a cool experience last time. It will be very interesting to see how it is different now that I am in a totally different place. My little heart was in a sad place last time and everything I did and learned was tinged with that. Now, not at all. So, we shall see.
Enough blathering. On to cleaning. (EWWWWWWWw! Did I just say that??)
