I have become a pain in my own ass. Don’t know what I did whilst getting out of the Explorer yesterday but I surely did something because I am in some pain. YEOWTCH!
What’s a pinched nerve feel like? This is most definitely not a muscle ache and is something I don’t think I’ve felt before. I stayed in bed most of the day yesterday and am staying home from work today as well.
I am so not a good patient.
Uh oh, check it out:
Herniated Disk: What It Is and What You Can Do
What are the signs of a herniated disk?
When part of a disk presses on a nerve, it can cause pain in both the back and the legs. The location of the pain depends on which disk is weak. How bad the pain is depends on how much of the disk is pressing on the nerve. In most people with herniated disks, the pain spreads over the buttocks and goes down the back of one thigh and into the calf. (note: yep, yep and yep. Oh that sucks!)
The pain from a herniated disk is usually worse when you’re active and gets better when you’re resting. Coughing, sneezing, sitting, driving and bending forward may make the pain worse. The pain gets worse when you make these movements because they put more pressure on the nerve.
So, at least I have a good excuse to stay home, right? RIGHT?
