Whew! I am dog-tired, y’all. Duty and I have been bustin’ ass all week and really revved it into high gear last couple of days. However, I write this entry from the relative comfort of my computer room by the bay! :) Relative being the operative word since I am sitting on a beach chair and typing on a keyboard perched on my lap. However, I do have coffee and the cats have moved out of the closet so we are making progress. All the other moves I’ve made, Mommycat has been the general and gone in and checked things out and then signaled to the other 3 that all was ok. This time, we had no general and all 3 dolts sat in the closet cowering for about an hour or two. Bless their bitty feline hearts.
Duty will be there to greet the movers tomorrow am and they will pack up the big stuff and bring it on in. I shall coordinate from this end. I think I will sleep in late on Monday just because I can and I’m sooooo tired. Oh wait. I have that stupid promise I made to myself and de dogg that we would walk at 630 am every weekday morning starting … MONDAY! (dammit) Oh well.
Things have actually gone pretty smoothly so far (not wanting to tempt fate by saying that) and all the packing I’ve been doing bit by bit really paid off in the end. I was able to throw out so much stuff. It’s a perfect time to do this since I’ve been into the purge thing lately. Why I was keeping earrings from 1984 that I know I’ve neither worn since then or would even consider wearing now, I have no idea. But out they went along with all kinds of BS. Frankly, I’m amazed I did it. It’s so unlike me to get rid of stuff. (Bows to the Uni and says thanks)
I think I’m gonna go crash somewhere. It’s very warm in the bedrooms (only the bottom level has central a/c. We have box air conditioners for the bedrooms but haven’t installed them yet) and I’m not good sleeping in warm bedrooms so I think me and the pets will settle down in here or somewhere. OH! Coolness – they have a snowball stand right down the road! This makes me very happy, can I tell you? (I’m so low maintenance, it’s frightening!)
Peace out and now for the unpacking! Wheee.
