We made it!! Whew!! The move is officially and completely over. Now for Act 2 – unpacking. What fun that will be, let me tell ya. I cannot possibly feel any more chaotic and in total disarray than I do right now. (Takes a deeep breath and repeats “all shall be well” :) ) But, it will soon pass and I will get into a new routine and things will be fine.
New cast of characters to introduce, yo.
First, there’s Neighbor Greg who seems like a decent and very helpful sort when sober. Don’t know his drinking pattern yet but am sure we will become acquainted with it soon enough. He has been a HUGE help getting the pool in shape which is nice. He used to install pools and hot tubs and the like so it’s not like some dolt is mucking around making a mess of things. Haven’t met Mrs. Neighbor Greg (conveniently called Lisa by the general populace) yet but will soon enough.
Then there’s Neighbor Greg’s daughter, Emma. She’s four and is really cute and full of life and joy. I like her although you may recall when Goddaughter of Love visited the house way back when, Emma was all kinds of in love with her and not so much with me. This time, though, I can buy her love with promises of holding guinea peegs and stuff. heheh I am so not above that sort of thing, you know.
Duty has been dubbed the mayor of “We just moved here”-ville. Bless his happy little heart, he’s going around telling total strangers how we just moved here, getting away from the traffic of NoVA, blah blah shut-up-already-cakes. It’s actually kind of sweet in a dorky way. It’s what makes him exactly who he is. I have noticed that he’s MUCH calmer and balanced these days. Interesting. We shall note if this pattern continues.
Anyway, today I have my interview with the woowoo store. Gotta update the resume to show all the woowoo classes and stuff in my background. Must get on that immediately (after more coffee, surfing Kos and goofing off). Yes, right on it. Where are all my clothes, btw? Ugh. I hate this disarray. :(
Remind me to write about watching an awesome thunderstorm from the Florida room. More later.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Moving is pure hell and punishment for having collected so much stuff. Please send new address ASAP and phone numbers and all that stuff. I am so jealous of your pool although I would only use it under cloak of darkness and in the presence of blind people.
How are the animals coping???
Love you!
