So, here’s what I can say so far:
A Mystery:
I referenced an interesting comment by NG the other day and so I shall elaborate since peeps (okay, just La) be asking. Setting the scene: Sunday afternoon – time for a nap. I laid down on the couch in the den but Emma’s squealing outside by the pool was most annoying. So, I went upstairs to the bedroom of incredible solitude and took my nap there. No harm, no foul. Later on that evening, talking to Duty as he was driving home from some goofy bowling thing, I mentioned the event and how I couldn’t sleep for all the squealing. Nothing major, right? About 20 minutes later, I went outside and NG was there and he said to me “We didn’t keep you awake, did we? Sometimes Emma gets to squealing.”
Uhhhhhh … how did he know that I was trying to nap in the middle of a Sunday afternoon??? It’s not like I advertise that fact or anything. Plus, he used the term squealing. Hmmmmmm …. I will have to test my “bugged house” theory now. I swear, sometimes I feel like I’m living in an episode of “I Love Lucy”!!
An Update:
* Working part time? Not so bad. Makes talking to goofs and crabby peeps easier. It was nice to see my friends (minus Hooty) and feel “back in the flow”. Although, I suspect that the Uni is telling me I won’t be there a lot longer. Just a hunch.
* Butt pain? Better. I did make a chiropractor appointment for Friday at this nice Healing and Wellness Center over by the Dunkins. We’ll see what s/he says. Hopefully, it’s something that can be remedied by losing weight or exercising or never going back to work (HA!). We shall see.
The compliment:
From my Uncle Charlie: Lisa, I can’t even begin to tell you just how much I enjoy reading your rants/raves/etc. Believe me when I say I actually smile/laugh-out-loud over and over. You should do something along the lines of writing a newspaper column. You are too talented to go noticed just by a few family members and loads of friends. You should be syndicated. Dave Barry has NOTHING on you.
:-) x 10!! That made my day. Thanks, Unc! I think my blatherings are rather boring (and still do) but it’s nice to know that they amuse and entertain my family.
