Suicidal frogs

Perhaps this comes with having a pool and/or living in the boonies but so far four frogs have been found face down in our pool. :( This makes me sad not to mention quite squicked out. NG said that the frogs go looking for water and when they fall in, they can’t get out and the chemicals kill them. Well, that’s not good at all. Surely there must be a way to provide these little frogs the moisture they need without killing them in the process. Soon, the number of frogs will be even with the number of my mother’s former roommates who’ve now passed to the great beyond. In fact, it was suggested that we take a bet to see which number will be highest by the end of the summer (waves to kittensox). Anyone want in?

Guess what? It’s neither a herniated nor slipped disc that was causing the back pain! It was a misalignment of my hips and shoulders. Interrrresting, n’est pas? The Chiro dude was cool, did some stuff to me and it felt much better. I go back for another treatment next week and we should be good to go from there. I’m glad I went.

And hey! I must take back my dissing of the QA library. I went and got my card there the other day and they do have some decent books (new non-fiction was quite good!) but the best part was a buttload of DVDs. I got Season 1 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Of course, I have to watch it in like 2 days but I can renew! heheh Lots of good movies there.

Generally, though, the fun on Kent Island amounts to Kmart(s) and snowballs (the frozen kind). I shall investigate Annapolis Mall next week for life in the big city.
