Yes, I participated despite having to admit all of 3 people read my blog (should my Uncle Charlie count for two since he loves me so? heh (waves to her adoring fan club president)).
And stolen from PitViper at Salon’s Table Talk who says it much more eloquently than I ever could:
[snark] I have to publicly retract all my hatred toward the vile, corrupt fuck monkey.
I mean, we attacked Iraq and caught Saddam Hussein, the mastermind behind all terrorism in the whole world (Osama Bin Who?) so the London attacks must be some kind of mirage, or staged by those irritating French – so huffy about the Olympic thing, you know – so of course it couldn’t have been Al-Quaida because G fucking W said we won and who wouldn’t believe him? Sorry ’bout all my evil thoughts regarding you, vile corrupt fuck money. [/snark]
I am thankful that GOL and family were NOT in London this week. I told her I would have had to throw myself off the nearest bridge and the Bay Bridge is quite tall so it wouldn’t be pretty. And I’m trying for the “Live fast, die young, leave a good looking corpse” club. So far, I’m 0 for 3. Unless by “living fast” you mean go to the Kmart(s) TWICE in one day! :)
Anyway, my thoughts and prayers and Reiki blessings go out to all our friends in London and around the world. I saw a sticker the other day on a car that said “God bless the world. No exceptions” and I liked that. We are all connected in ways so many of us cannot see. (sigh)
The Peace Prayer of St. Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O, Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Hey, what about me? I read your site. Anyhow judging from your sitemeter statistics you are about as popular as I am. However, check your actual Apache server logs sometime. I bet you get a lot more hits than Sitemeter shows.
