Cindy blogs on Day 6 at Kos and I chose this snippet to put on here:
Since Congress is not holding George Bush accountable and the media is not doing their jobs and holding George Bush accountable, we the American people need to hold him accountable for lying to us to get us into a disastrous war. November 2 2004 was not his accountability moment: today is. We are finished allowing him to get away with deceiving the American public and abusing his power.
We are mad as hell and we’re not taking it anymore.
Can you tell I adore this woman? I love that she’s taking a stand and not in an “in your face” kind of way that seems so prevalent these days but a more “Hey, come talk to me” kind of way. This is a no win for shrub since he’s waited way too long now to do anything. I’m fine with that because it shows just what kind of craven being we have installed in the White House. Not that some (most) of us didn’t know that at some level, but the longer he waits, the more apparent it becomes to those who didn’t want to see it.
Time will tell. ‘Til then, Cindy, keep on keepin’ on. We need you and your voice. If I could go to Crawford now, I would. Her diary entry said that they now have over 700 people there at Camp Casey. More here, if you are interested.
