First, thanks to my sweet family and friends for the birthday cakes, presents, cards and love. I got the funniest email from my Uncle Charlie! It made me giggle. (And I needed that giggle, trust me!) It was a nice birthday, all things considered.
I think the rain is gone (for at least a few minutes!). Mother Earth is not going to be happy when we finally get to empty our pool. It’s almost overflowing as it is. I love rain but even *I* have had enough. Could be worse – could be snow. But I want my nice, crisp fall days. This is November weather in October. And to that I say FEH!
I need to get this passport thingy going TODAY for our trip to Lourdes, France. It’s not quite the Italy trip with GOL we wanted, but we will all be going together and for that I am thankful. A trip to a sacred place? Yes, this woo-woo chick is sooo there. It’s Thanksgiving week so we will have to reschedule the family TG celebration. As Mary says “turkey and jet lag go well together”.
Yesterday, the words to one of my favorite songs came into my head and I think it’s going to be my mantra as we move forward. It’s “Drive” by Incubus and for much of 2003, it was a theme in my life. “Whatever tomorrow brings, I’ll be there with open arms and open eyes.” I think I will adopt this going forward. I may not want my eyes open but I’ll be there always with open arms.
Always with open arms, my sweet goddaughter.
I didn’t know you had a birthday coming up…. so so sorry, i wasn’t on time to say “hey”… but here’s a belated.. .”hey, have a happy day!”
Love to you and what’s his name.
Gina
