Loved this sentiment – well stated and from the heart.
From Hoffmania.com:
May the souls who gave their lives for this and other wars ultimately rest in peace – and may we seek leadership that will once again allow us all to live in peace.
One more day off – wheeee! Oh my goodness. I am so happy not to have to go to work! (doing a wicked happy dance around the sunroom) And today is the best of the four I have off because I have nothing I HAVE to do! So, today is officially “Do what makes Lisa happy” day. (Yes yes yes … I hear the chorus now “but isn’t *every* day DWMLH day???” Shut up, you. So what if it is? :) )
Currently, I am making Lisa happy by blogging, drinking coffee and watching the birdies at the bird feeder. Later, I shall take my damn self over to Barnes & Noble in Annapolis, have a coffee, peruse the books and cards and generally meander around. And on the way home, stop for a snowball. Life for this chick is indeed good.
Edited to add that I just realized I have been using the wrong form of a word. I am aghast! (Seriously. This and the fact that bush is still preznit really chaps my ass.) At least I am big enough to announce my dunce-osity to the blogosphere, right? Does that attone for it?
Herewith, I present the definitions of the words loathe and loath. And announce forthwith that I shall never again use loathe when what I really mean is loath.
loathe (to hate)
loath (reluctant, unwilling, usually followed by “to”)
What a lucky girl – your joyousness in a day with nothing to do just wings off the page :) I hope you revelled, rolled, and soaked in it!
You GO GIRL!! Hugs ‘n Loves
Kim
Lisa, you (and Hoffmania mirrored my sentiments better than I could have. I’m glad you are enjoying your holiday weekend. I had a very similar weekend, though I am off to do laundry in a few minutes and to take out my recycling (provided that Bush doesn’t manage to get us all annhilated first, I hope I am able to do my part to conserve the planet’s resources…) —
Keep snarking away, your friend -A
