Yep, that’s me, apparently! Or so someone says. (I think he’s right, though. Shhhh. Don’t tell anyone, okay?)
I decided to play “Wednesday Weirdness” but I didn’t like the questions for this week so I took ones from several weeks ago and will mess with those. Here we go:
1.) You’re on a trip taking a tour through the jungle. You have a backpack with some food, some first aid supplies, a pocket knife, a flashlight and a couple bottles of water. Some how, you get separated from your group. By night fall you haven’t found your group and haven’t heard them looking for you. How long do you think you would be able to survive on your own?
Ummm, I’m pretty sure they’d find my sad little body, half gnawed by wolves or something because I am so fucked when it comes to wilderness survival. Heck, Cousin O’Love and I got lost in the Coliseum in Rome and I almost had heart palpitations over that! Just reading this question caused me to open a bottle of Xanax! And drink a beer.
2.) Do you think it’s okay to lie to spare someone’s feelings? Why?
Yeah …. if it’s something that isn’t a big deal (“What do you think of my new haircut” is something like that), then I don’t have an issue with it. My mom, OTOH, would say the most heinous things to me in the name of “honesty” and it was horrible. “You look like a stuffed sausage in that outfit.” she’d say. And when I’d say something back to her, the standard retort was “Well, it’s the truth!” as if that made it okay. Gah. It’s examples like that I can point to as reasons for my being hyper-sensitive to other people’s feelings.
3.) If a talking Lisa doll were made, what are THREE phrases it would say?
a. I love him. (re: DC)
b. Oh, for fuck’s sake.
c. Chello!
4.) If the super power to be able to read minds at your own will were possible, do you think it would be… cool and helpful, intrusive and wrong, manipulative or maddening? Explain why you would or wouldn’t want to be able to read anyone’s mind at your own will.
I don’t think I’d want that, honestly. When I was younger, I took the liberty of reading someone’s diary and saw a whole lot of stuff that was really hurtful. It was wrong to disrespect their privacy, for sure, and it hurt me to know some of the things they thought about me. So, I think I’d pass on that superpower. (And I sure as hell don’t want anyone reading mine. God only knows what they might find!)
5.) RE: Drunk confessions, are they the things people can’t bring themselves to say sober or just crazy ramblings of an influenced and intoxicated mind?
Hmm, that’s a good question. Inhibitions are lowered, no question, so I’d say that they are things that might not come out when the walls are a bit higher. (This is not always for the best, however!) Me? Oh, I’m likely to want to get all kissy face and make out with you. Consider yourself warned.
6.) What brings out the worst in you?
Being bossed around and rudeness by others. I hate that. I get all peevy and pissy and it comes off of me in waves.
7.) Do you think long distance relationships work? Have you ever been in one before?
Yes, I think they can but there really has to be good communication and a certain bit of independence. Have I been in one? Yes.
Take a shot – pick a question and answer it in the comments. Be Bold! Don’t make me read your mind. (I *am* psychic, after all.)
I think we may have the same mom!
And I stole this.
