He had a phone interview with a company and they were very impressed and asked for a more detailed resume to send to their client. We stayed up until midnight tweaking his resume and adding all the technical mumbo-jumbo so it could be in the HR person’s inbox this morning.
He also had a request from another company to fill out all the employment docs and fax them over so they can start the proceedings.
So, good things seem to be happening. No job offer yet but better than radio silence.
He must have submitted online for fifty jobs and when you hear nothing, it can get discouraging. He’s doing really well considering he cannot deal at all with change, uncertainty and feeling out-of-control. I have to confess that it makes me happy to be his rock this time. (He’s usually mine except when he his heart attacks him and whatnot.)
I have a meeting today with the Complex Director of YoPoE and am just going to listen. No decisions shall be made. (Why he cannot call me on the damn phone and talk to me is anathema but whatevs.) Word is getting around YoPoE about a possible return and I’ve gotten a couple “Is it true our Minister of Fun is coming back?” which makes me happy. This is one of two offices I’ve worked in where I felt loved and valued. I thank the holy Universe for it, believe me.
And PI is rockin’ and rollin’ with all kinds of stuff. I’ve got my pieces/parts in place and just have to get more out there and let people know I’m around. Visibility FTW!
That’s the haps here. Thanks so much, all of youse, for your love and support and comments. It’s helping more than you know.
change it is a come-n! It will work out fine, but so glad to hear more of a spring in your step!
Happy for Duty! And for his “rock.” :)
This is good news! Yay!
So good to hear the news. I checked the blog this morning, early, and there wasn’t anything, but I decided to try again and was rewarded.
It does, indeed, sound like an upswing. Yay!
