OMFG

April 28, 2011 Written by Lisa

For reals: OMFG, y’all

So, let’s recap, shall we:

1. I have sincere conversation with Duty about a timeline for my leaving pain in the ass day job. He says “$6000 in the bank and a possible part time job and then I might feel okay about it.”

1a. I haz a sad about it because I cannot stand day job any more.

2. Vow that no one shall stand in the way of what I want. Choose $3000/empowerment for manifesting amount and words, mindful that this is double what I had last month but what the hell, right? I can stand a bit of chaos.

2a. Universe laughs. And the thunder chaos rolls.

3. Forced to take on 3x the amount of responsibility at work. Whole office is in uproar as the departure of one person has created a tear in the time-space continuum and all goes to hell on board the USS Enterprise.

4. At night, brain too fried to create classes as planned. Whole month’s income goes down the toilet as I barely make $1000.

5. Begin to make peace with the fact that $3000 and an “I will show all of you not to get in my way” attitude does not an abundant month make.

6. Work diligently at creating a more peaceful space and let go of the urgency to leave that damn job NOW.

7. Take a class on energy and family dynamics wherein I am told that a big part of my work now is to forgive myself for all that I have done or not done and to move on from that place. Truly forgive from a heartful place of compassion.

8. Take 2nd glass of wine, sit out under the stars and cry into a place of self-forgiveness for all manner of stupid shit in life.

9. Begin again to feel at peace with the flow of things.

10. Damn near crap pants as $6000 falls into my lap out of nowhere. (I am so not kidding. It really did.)

11. Listen to Duty (still in Korea) nearly crap his pants as I point out to him that he said if I had $6000 in the bank, I could quit day job. Know that he’s going to rain on my parade with this somehow but hope he gets that this is a gift from the Universe delivered through a specific channel. He both rains and gets.

12. Remind him that he told me last summer “I’m not sure I totally understand all this stuff you do but I have to say that weird things do happen around you that I can’t explain.”

13. Mention that I am not planning on leaving job tomorrow (or even in a month) but September is what I’m shooting for (per my astrologer). Hear him heave a sigh of relief.

14. Laugh to myself about how the Universe and my Angels always, always amaze me.

15. Send love to Jody for typos and encouragement.

16. Dance around house.

17. Empowerment came through after all, yo!

and the word for the coming month? Guess what? Receptivity as in “I am open to receiving from the Universe” – no better way to start the month, eh?

So yeah. OMFG. For reals.

Ramping up!

February 13, 2011 Written by Lisa

OOOF! What a week, kids! Inspiration came rolling on through and before I knew it, I was hosting a fundraiser over on Practically Intuitive! So far, we’ve raised $600 in donations and I am booked up with all kinds of readings – 30 minutes, 60 minutes and several 90 minute appointments! My Guide Charles told me in January that I better get some organization in place now because things were taking off and he was right (of course!). EEK! It’s been great because I have a few new clients who will be able to see what a reading/coaching/mentoring/healing session with me is all about and for a much smaller investment. I think that helps quell the fears about whether this is for real and on the up and up without putting a lot of money out there.

On top of that, I am working on a new tele-class called “Trust what you get” and have to get most of it together before I talk to Andrea again on Thursday. I’m so excited about it! Scared too but mostly excited. Those were really the first thing Rose Rosetree taught me – when you tune in and ask a question and receive an answer, trust that answer. Trust what you get. Even if you think it’s made up or pulled out of your ass. Trust it. The more you do that, the easier the trusting becomes and you get past the fear of being wrong. That’s when the fun starts.

Duty accompanied me to Pilates this week and liked it! Surprise! He wants to finish his cardio rehab before he starts pilates but I’m going to go without him. I was kind of self-conscious with him there anyway. (Not sure why.) He’s off to Hawaii for two weeks and I am happy to be in my own energy here for a couple weeks. We really are very independent people and are generally content with our own company. I’d go with him on this trip but I’m happy here at home with my stuff and pets. Not quite the traveling girl unless it’s Italy. Then, I might be inclined to go.

So, if you’ve been wondering where I’ve been, now you know! It is my intention to be able to generate the same income I get now from the full-time job through my intuitive practice so I can leave the day job by this time next year (or sooner!). Everything I do is aligned with that intention so watch me manifest it, baybee!

… when my Guides talk, I listen. (Two people will get that joke – The Gal being one of them)

I woke up yesterday morning with a very clear mandate to offer free intuitive readings to my friends on one of the forums I frequent. A woo-woo chum and I did this last year ’round about this same time (coincidentally, not so much) and all told we did about 60 of them. They were short intuitive “hits” and we got such great feedback on it. What really hit home for me was how good *I* felt after doing it. There’s nothing I like more (well, almost nothing [wink]) than getting in that space where I do my best and clearest work. It’s the kind of feeling when you’re in the flow and things just come to you.

Anyway, so far I’ve got about 30 readings to get started on (tonight!) and am also offering this to anyone out there who want to take me up on it. Click on the EMAIL ME button up there on the right to send me an email about it. You can ask a specific question or you can ask for whatever Spirit wants you to know now or anything else of your choosing. It’s entirely up to you.

The offer runs through Friday so think about it if you want and drop me a note. The only thing I ask in return is that you pay it forward somehow. That’s entirely up to you and you don’t have to tell me about it or anything. The angels trust ya. (Me too!)

Well, you should be! I am (ta da!) quoted over on Blogtations! It’s a very cool website that features pithy, snarky, just way cool quotes from various blogs around the interwebs. You will have to go visit them to see what they chose from lil’ ole Snarkypants.

THANK YOU all who responded to my request for guinea peegs. Y’all be needing some healing out there in ye olde blogland. I’ve reached my quota now (have 10 peegs) and am no longer looking for volunteers. By the time I finish ten readings, I will be well versed in the modality. If you’ve missed your chance, don’t worry. I will let you know when I am certified (not certifiable!) and will offer them again. In addition, I’ve learned that there’s a whole section on learning more about your Spirit Guides and what they can assist you with. As my wonderful teacher Sven has said “there are a lot of unemployed angels out there waiting for something to do …” so we can use this method to tap into what energy they bring to you and show you how to work with it to make your life flow in the way it is meant to be.

Bonus: The first person who emails me from the link on the Email Me page (above) and asks for a Spirit Guide reading gets one for free!! If you are already getting a Soul Realignment reading, please let someone else grab this one. If no one responds, I will open it back up to all.

I am thrilled that my channeling/dictation skills are so well honed that I can tap into this right away instead of having to learn how to do that and then learn to trust the information that comes through. It was my greatest delight while at the Seminary to have people tell me how “clear” my messages were. In January of this year, I really made it my goal to be as clear a channel as I could be so that when I took the class in June, the messages would come through minus any attachment or baggage from me. So, having that validated was awesome.

Anyway, if I’ve responded back to you about the Soul Realignment reading, be assured that you are on my list and I am working my way through it. I had to re-do the checklist that came with the materials because it didn’t flow for me. Took care of that today and I’m ready to go.

Saturday tidbits

First, a BIG thanks to those who sponsored me for the Blogathon. You guys are so awesome! I got the power of the Mighty Laur behind me! Woo-Hoo! And, Cousin ‘O Love (and mom to La) is coming to hang out with me and keep me awake overnight! What a great chick she is (for a bizillion reasons)!

Second, an apology to Chancellor Angela Merkle:

To: Chancellor Angela Merkle

CC: German people

We’re sorry we elected such an imbecile as our leader and that you have to put up with him from time to time. We’re especially sorry that he hasn’t learned how to act in the company of intelligent people.

We tried to get rid of him but the voting machines didn’t work like they’re supposed to. We’d impeach him, but then you’d have to wear body armor whenever our Vice President showed up in his place, and no rich hunter of nearly flightless quail-tards would be safe in our country.

Under the circumstances, we’re both probably better off with what we have now.

Signed,
The 50% of America that can find its ass without using both hands and an anatomy text

(Hat tip to Cujo359 for writing this and I feel just the same way)

Third, speaking of presidential idiocy, check out this hilarious song by Paul Hipp over at HuffPo. I cracked up and can’t get the line out of my head.

Fourth, you must check out my good friend Kim Karangelen’s blog . She is hilarious! She writes about celebrity goings-on and I love her style – so clever and snarky. Surely she learned it from me! hahahha I knew Kim when we worked together at a brokerage firm many years ago and recently got back in touch with her and I’m glad we reconnected! Bookmark this one – she’s just that good!

Fifth: It’s a cloudy day here in Snarkyville and I’d give anything to just take myself (20 miles away) to a Starbucks with my magazines and drink lattes all day. Alas, I can’t. But it sounds nice, right?

Sixthly: I must shine a spotlight on my faboo sister-in-love, Becky who participated in Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths program as Delaware’s Ambassador.

There was a great article about her in the local Milford DE paper and it said in part:

“Beautiful Lengths is the first program of its kind that encourages women or men to grow their hair and donate it to women undergoing cancer treatment,” Craft said. “Real hair wigs are often not covered by insurance and they’re very expensive. I’m not sure why insurance doesn’t pay for it, but it doesn’t so this creates a bank for women who really need it. Some women are fine with it and will put their hair in a bandana, and show it off with pride. But others aren’t and need it. And when you need it and can’t afford it, there’s a problem.”

[F]or Craft’s second time around, she’s donating her hair to a campaign called Pantene Beautiful Lengths. The campaign, a partnership between the Entertainment Industry Foundation, Pantene, Women’s Cancer Research Fund and HairUWear, is the first of its kind in that it is specifically devised for the distribution of wigs to adult women through the American Cancer Society network of national wig banks.

How awesome is that? If you have the gift of wonderful hair that grows freely, I urge you to consider either Locks of Love or another program that benefits those undergoing life changes brought on by cancer.

Seventhly, I need to get my butt in gear or I will become permanently attached to the couch! Have a great day!
